Re: NFL News and Notes for July 2025!!!

Washington's new uniforms in the rotation for 2025...they added stripes and kept the lame W (known as the taco holder to fans)....this was supposed to include an "historic tribute" as well, some of us were hoping a return to the Native American logo....which was the portrait of a Native American Chief and designed by a Native American but No, they chose to retain Snyders legacy instead with the "taco holder" Woman Frustrated

Graphic. The center features photos of Zach Ertz, Jayden Daniels and Jeremy Reaves in our new alternate uniforms. The helmets are burgundy and have the Commanders logo on the side and three stripes down the center. The jersey is white and has burgundy and gold stripes on the sleeve. The pants are burgundy and have gold and white stripes down the sides. The socks are white and have a burgundy and gold stripe. The background of the graphic is RFK Stadium. The top says “Fit for Old D.C."

This would've been a nice gesture....

Re: NFL News and Notes for July 2025!!!

College degrees tend not to mean a lot these days. A while back, I was talking with some of the workers at my Walmart, and many had advanced degrees, often in social work. They got paid more and had fewer hassles working at Walmart.

Education these days often seems more focused on getting kids through the system than teaching them anything of merit. If I had a kid, it would be home-schooling all the way.

I totally agree, in order to get a real education these days it requires homeschooling no doubt about it...!!!!

And look at the debt they are creating for something that actually means VERY LITTLE!!! Our company doesn't even pay more like it did years ago for those with a degree..

Tristan Wirfs is the latest player to wait until just before training camp to get some surgery done. A clever veteran move as it lets him skip training camp. Bad for the team though.

Re: NFL News and Notes for July 2025!!!

PFF ranks the Colts 2025 o-line in the top 5. (They're #5.) Everything seems to be falling into place except for the QB position.

I never thought about Washington's logo as being a taco holder. (Maybe it's a tribute to Taco Bell?) Woman LOL The logo and name Commanders aren't that bad. I could think of worse names.

Wondering if players hold off surgery right before training camp just so they don't have to participate. They don't seem to care how it affects the team.

Here's an actual taco holder...

American Metalcraft Taco Holder - Office Depot

Pretty good resemblence....TEGANSLAW never ever mention the words TACO BELL I got food poisoning from that place....no we here prefer.......TACO CABANA the food is so much better from so many different perspectives....

Taco_Cabana

Yep agree some NFL players hold off surgery just to avoid training camp.....but if there's tight competition on a roster spot and the coaches remember this, they could be jeopardizing their roster spot .....

Re: NFL News and Notes for July 2025!!!

@Spurt - Add to that, the kids do not know how to give change, which is hilarious!  I rarely pay with cash but when I bought something not long ago, I paid cash.  I think my bill was $4.96 or something like that, so he went ahead and quickly put in $5.00 so it showed him how much to give me, but I quickly pulled out a penny so that way he could give me back 5 cents.  Well, he stared at me when I handed him that penny and he didn't know what to do!  I had to tell him to give me back a nickel!  LOL!!  Unreal!  I probably coud've told him to give me back a 5 and he would've done it!  I recently read that there are less kids going to college due to the cost and heading to trade schooll.  A lot cheaper, not to mention the kids can get a good salary when they get out without the debt.

And here's something funny football related I read today - there is a radio host named Kevin Kietzman, who made a comment that Patrick Mahomes is fat.  Said how Mahomes made comments that since they lost in the Superbowl, they're coming back with a vengeance and the guy's comment:  "Dude, you're fat"!  Said he's an embarassment. LOL!!!  Mahome's personal trainer got ticked off at the comments and made a rant on it.  I guess we'll see if the Chiefs will really come back "with a vengeance"!

Yep, they can't do change....Mike Golic said on his show one time he had bought breakfast at McDonalds and the electronic registers were not working due to a tech problem, so the kids had to do the transactions manually, Mike handed the kid a $20 bill and the kid didn't know how to make change for the $20 and Mike had to do it for him....SMH!!!

Oh boy, in addition to some saying he sounds like Kermit, now he's going to be called "fatty".....Poor Patrick Woman LOL Personally, I sure hope another AFC team winds up in the Super Bowl

@Spurt - how sad is that with the change thing!  That guy could've ripped off the kid big time and he would've never known it!  Geez!

OMG, that's so funny!  I never heard the name Kermit for Patrick!  LOL!  I guess I missed out on that one!  Smiley LOL

Re: NFL News and Notes for July 2025!!!

@Spurt - I'm glad @teganslaw brought up about the taco holder, as I guess I'm just dumb but I didn't know what they were until you posted the pic!  LOL!  I also don't think their logo for Washington is that bad either!

And YES - please send us a Taco Cabana up north!  Love that place and miss it!  Bring the Whataburger up here too!
