@gardenman @teganslaw @sunshine45 @AuntG @Greeneyedlady21 @soonersis
and ALL NFL FANS-
I dont mean to steal your thunder GARDENMAN, but had to start a new topic in order for this to be seen.......
These are my thoughts on the new nickname NFL Washington Football Team----
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
As I said in another post....the name sounds amateruish and subpar much like one of those minor football league names...... Snyder had a real chance to win some fans back, instead he chose to satisfy his own ego instead....The fans will continue to hope and pray that one day Dan Snyder is FORCED to sell the team and that will be truly a happy day and give us a new start....
In the meantime I will refer to my team as WASHINGTON (even the Washington Football Team was better than Commanders...🙄🤢🤮

I don't think the name Commanders is bad, though I won't get used to that name right away. They could have chosen a worse name.
Colts Cornerback coach James Rowe joined the Bears, along with LB coach Dave Borgonzi. The team will be kept busy filling in the vacancies.
No one knows if Bill Belichick purposely or mistakenly sent the text to Brian Flores. Belichick isn't talking. I didn't realize all the problems the Dolphins organization was having. No wonder Flores wanted out.

Yeah, it's not the best name possible, but it's not the worst. Headline writers are just waiting for the first time a Washington player has a nudity issue and they can use the headline "Commander goes Commando!" You just know they all have that headline queued up and ready to go. They just need an opportunity to use it.
It sounds like the Niners are working with Jimmy G to find him a new home. That would be nice. Belichick and the
Niners worked together to find Jimmy G a good home the first time, asking for just a second-round pick for him. (Quite under-priced at the time.) Will the Niners just ask for a second-round pick for him again or will they try to sell him to the highest bidder? It's one of those tricky things for a GM. What's best for the Niners is to hold an open auction and send him to the highest bidder. That may not be best for Jimmy G though. It can get tricky deciding what to do.
We should get some more coaching hires this week. Most of the active interviewing seems to have wrapped up. Now it's just a question of teams making decisions. At some point, you've got to take the plunge and just name a name.

My sister even called me to make fun of the new name.....I told her the only name worse was THE GIANTS....😄....
BTW she said that Belichick goofed on that twitter message on purpose to get the Giants in trouble he's still mad that Eli and the Giants beat his Patriots twice...or so SHE says!
Yikes to add insult to injury they had to make the announcement on my favorite ALL TIME Spur's player's birthday---HAPPY 54th BIRTHDAY SEAN ELLIOTT!!! (people always teased Sean that his birthday was on Groundhog day)
🎂🎈

Did Belichick intentionally text the wrong Brian? Could be. In Bill's defense, there aren't that many Brians in the world these days and with contacts in most phones listed in alphabetical order Brian Daboll and Brian Flores would likely be one just above the other. There wouldn't be a lot of Brian Es out there to get between the two.
In the "He's an evil genius" belief, it is interesting to note that he managed to sabotage an AFC East rival in the Dolphins and the NFC East team he's lost to in the Super Bowl in the Giants. So, which you believe tends to come down to how you view Bill.

LOL...Maybe Snyder is working behind the scenes on a sponsorship with Fruit Of The Loom or Hanes....🙄
From what I read Jimmy G is so ready to leave the 49ers....
Well the hornet's nest that Belihick stirred could cause delay in hirings....just what Beli needs another slight advantage putting the "incomplete organizations" on "standby".....

Yeah, Jimmy G knows he's done with the Niners. They don't invest all they invested in Trey Lance to keep him on the bench. Jimmy's too valuable to be the backup. He's been a good soldier for the Niners as they try to undercut/replace him each year, so he's earned the chance to go somewhere else and start over.
Where he goes will be interesting. The Bucs have jumped into contention as a landing spot with Brady retiring. The Niners would vastly prefer to trade him to the AFC, but the options are a bit limited. Steelers? Texans? Broncos? Browns? Colts? The Browns and Colts both have a veteran QB. Maybe they'd want a change, but maybe not. The Texans have the kid QB Davis Mills who did pretty well. That pretty much leaves the Steelers and Broncos. The Broncos seem intent on landing Rodgers. So, the Steelers?
In the NFC things are a bit more open. The Commanders, Giants, Packers (if they lose Rodgers,) Vikings (if they give up on Cousins,) Lions (if they give up on Goff and his girlfriend,) Bucs, Saints, Falcons, and Panthers. There are more viable options for him in the NFC than the AFC, but the Niners probably don't want him in the NFC.

Hey, you look for endorsements wherever you can find them. If you're a Commander player and you get the late-night munchies when you're not dressed (like a certain coach) and the police get called, you can bet you'll see that headline. I'm confident that every sports page editor already has it queued up and ready to go. It's almost too easy of a headline. It writes itself.

LOL....Oh Oh...is this a slip up and a hint that Washington could be hiring Joe Cullen (the nude drive in Wendy's customer) and are preparing accordingly?!?!?!?
With all the NFL news out there I guess the Cowboys are feeling a bit left out so they came out with a Dan Quinn interview saying he decided to stay in Dallas and take care of "unfinished business"......Hmmmm....I think Quinn should have checked out the Cowboy's cap and roster status as you did @gardenman to really see what's ahead for the Boyz with all those defensive players becoming free agents as well as the team's salary cap problem and other issues on the offensive side of the roster ..... looks like the "unfinished business" will remain....uh....UNFINISHED....and a Super Bowl in their near future looks a bit bleak for the Cowboys...Maybe Quinn should've bailed while he had a chance...
BTW it looks like Washington could be in for yet another name change....as another NFL fan pointed out team nicknames are shortened---Bucs for Buccaneers, Cards for Cardinals, Hawks for Seahawks, Pats for Patriots etc etc....so if the Commanders are called "COMMS" (which could be construed as short for "commies")....OOOPS....time to go back to the drawing board???!!!!???? 🙄😏
