Not the best offseason if you're a Seahawks fan. Russell Wilson is gone. Bobby Wagner is now a Ram and will face you twice a year. And your best QB right now is Drew Lock. They may not be tanking for an upper-tier QB next year but given the players they've lost and the competition they'll face, they may not have to tank. Their winnable games would seem to be limited to the Saints, Panthers, Lions, Falcons, Giants, and Jets. And they could even lose those games. Not an ideal situation for their fanbase.
If the schedule maker has a heart, he'll give them some easier games upfront to get a winning vibe going. Starting them out with the Chargers, Bucs, and Chiefs would be cruel. Starting them out with the Giants, Jets, and Lions, would give them a chance to build some early momentum. It would likely die pretty quickly, but you never know.

No surprise conflicting news info regarding Daniel Snyder 🙄----
While Commish Roger Goodell says Daniel Snyder continues to be NOT involved in day to day operations of the team, the Washington Times gives the contrary and has resumed his role in day to day operations of the team. In fact, a source says Snyder was “heavily involved” in the discussions that culminated in the trade for quarterback Carson Wentz. It’s a stunning allegation. And it remains to be seen whether it’s accurate and, if so, whether the league will be doing anything about it.

Alex Smith is being a bit of a jerk, yes I agree Washington is a dysfunctional team especially when Gruden was the coach, Bruce Allen was the GM, and Dan Snyder was definitely involved in running the team and making decisions, and we all know Snyder is a jerk..BUT when Ron Rivera and Martin Mayhew came in things changed.....
Ron Rivera said he was scared to death of playing Alex Smith, could you blame him, and Alex complained they put him through grueling workouts before he could play...What DECENT coach wouldn't.....Alex had a serious injury and half his leg was eaten away and he almost lost his leg....what if he sustained a big hit in a game which caused his leg to be amputed how do you think Coach Rivera and the organization would feel? They took percautionary measures which i dont think was "patronizing" as Alex Smith called it!!! Sounds a bit like SOUR GRAPES to me!!! I thought it was a mistake to sign him from KC in the first place....too old .......
In a statement to Sports Illustrated, Washington head coach Ron Rivera didn't deny he was "scared to death" of putting Smith back on the field, but praised the quarterback's comeback:
“I was scared to death about putting [Alex] back out there and that is something I struggled with every day. It’s unfortunate that he feels we patronized him because I can tell you that was not our intention. At the end of the day, I commend Alex because he proved everyone wrong and exceeded any reasonable expectations that anyone had set for him. It was a truly remarkable feat.”
