SPURT. Sam Bradford is a world class idiot. You really want to try and understand what he's doing, but it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen a player do, especially in a city like Philly. I was thrilled to see the Eagle players rallying around the kid and welcoming him to the team. Bradford is poisoning what's left of his career and it's an incredibly stupid, short-sighted move on his part.

Tom Condon is a good agent, but he's helping Bradford destroy his career which isn't a great strategy. There are very few teams now looking for a quarterback which limits Bradford's options. If he's smart, he'd fly back to Philly and apologize, blame it on some medication/head injury/temporary insanity and pray everyone forgets about it. Right now he looks like the world's biggest crybaby.

The Niner players don't sound like they're all that supportive of Kaepernick at this time and I don't think think the Eagle players love Bradford right now, so a swap between the two teams where the disgruntled QB's are swapped out makes some sense. Kaepernick is a better stylistic fit for Carson Wentz. Bradford's a pure pocket passer while Kaepernick and Wentz are both much more mobile. Neither one knows the current Eagle offense so there's not a lot of loss there. Bradford had his best year playing under Chip Kelly. Let's flip them and see what happens.

A lot of people thought Jalen Ramsey was the best player in the draft and I thought the Cowboys would take him, but he slipped down the board. He's a good fit for pretty much any team.

The Cowboys seem to have forgotten they need a defense. I guess they're just counting on out-scoring everyone else. There's a lot of chatter now that they'll use their second round pick on a young QB. Dallas fans are begging them to jump up and get Myles Jack, who would have been a top five pick except for the possiblity/likelihood that he'll need microfracture knee surgery sometime in the future. (Microfracture surgery typically takes about a year before the player is back up to speed, if they come back up to speed.)

You're not going to find a more talented player in the draft right now than Myles Jack, but that knee is scaring teams away. The fear of losing him for a year or more, is offsetting what he can do. We could end up seeing a team taking a chance on Jaylon Smith, the Notre Dame linebacker with a bad nerve in his knee, before Myles Jack goes off the board. Jaylon Smith would arguably have been a top five pick this year if that nerve had regenerated in time. If a team is confident the nerve will regenerate, they may be willing to let him sit this year and take him over Myles Jack who would likley have to sit out a future year.

The Eagles have a nice long wait until the third round before they make another pick. The only real hole the Eagles have is at runningback. They could use more depth at a lot of spots, but runningback is a bigger area of need. Both lines could use more depth and I wouldn't be shocked to see the Eagles pick up a Dak Prescott, or other young quarterback, if he drops into the fourth or fifth round as an insurance policy. (Sam Bradford will love that.) Having two kids pushing each other can be a good thing for a team.

Depending on how things play out over the next few weeks/months, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Niners and Eagles swap disgruntled quarterbacks. I'm not sure that would make either quarterback happy, but Bradford wouldn't be looking over his shoulder at a talented high draft pick in San Francisco, and Kaepernick's skill set is a better match for Carson Wentz. Both are big, strong armed kids, who can run.

It's not like there are a lot of other options out there. The Jets and Bills might be in the market for a QB, but the Jets will likely eventually resign Fitzpatrick and the BIlls did well with Tyrod Taylor last year. The Texans got their guy in Osweiller. The Broncos have drafted Lynch and have Sanchez too. Most teams have a starting QB of some sort now in place, so Bradford's largely stuck where he is with few options. The Niners are largely the last real option out there for Bradford. Unless he comes back to Philly, there aren't a lot of other options out there for him.

@gardenman  What's this now Sammy is not accepting calls from the coach and the team and ran back to Oklahoma which is definitely NOT OK! (Sam's move, not the state).......GARDENMAN the Eagles need to start coaching up Chase (as soon as the NFLPA agreement allows) and find some way to dump Bradford even if you end up taking a loss on his deal---He will poison the locker room......

As far as my Redskins there was a possibilty that the team would take a WR thinking ahead to next year so Doctson was a decent pick and there was a run on WR at that time in the draft.  .....Doctson has great hands and leaping ability, very coachable, and a TALL WR too....some of the film they showed reminded me a bit of Odell Beckham...And Scot was looking to the future too, when they will need to dump Garcon and Jackson to make cap room to get other players re-signed.

Hoping some the D line talent is still left because we desperately need to fill some holes there (Ryan Kerrigan can't do it by himself).... I hope Jaaran Reed is still there in Round 2 (he's a good run stopper and could counter the Cowboy's Elliott), BUT he is not so good in the pass (he's more of a specialist)....but would still be a good player...GO SCOT GO!!!

I can understand why the Cowboys drafted Elliott BUT at what cost to their defense admidst injuries (Sean Lee can't stay healthy) and the suspensions and all---And despite all this, Cowboys can be wacky and It will be interesting if they go QB although the top ones left Cook and Hackenberg who need a lot of work....Speaking of reaching, I was AMAZED at the Broncos picking Paxton Lynch in the first round, a raw talent and I think he needs 2-3 years time to be developed and not an immediafe answer to their QB dilemma.....are they really going to go with Mark (rear end fumble) Sanchez as starter??

Tunsil sounds like a real problem child---Dolpins couldn't handle the Incognito/Martin saga and they picked a guy with LOTS of red flags (even though they have a NEW coach, emphasis on NEW)....sure he has talent, but what character baggage is he bringing along.   I understand Arizona took a chance on his Nkemdiche, but they have a strong coach, strong locker room, and they did a great job working on Honey Badger's character issues....

@teganslaw  GREAT PICKUP for Colts with Ryan Kelly---I bet Luck is happy with that pick too---and they need to add some more Olinemen---JMHO

CANT WAIT FOR ROUND 2!!!Woman Very Happy

@Spurt  I haven't followed the Tunsil story that closely but if all he was doing was hitting a bong at a party, even though a bonehead move, probably not that big of a deal. If that's all there was to it. These days, that's not necessarily different from half the country, lol.

@Reba055 I don't consider hitting a bong "harmless" if he does it, probably not his first time and it could mean possible suspensions by the NFL is in his future.(despite what other people do), if you want to stay EMPLOYED and ON THE FIELD with the NFL--smoking pot is a nono...and synthetic pot is dangerous!  Is weed more important than an NFL career and impact on his earning potential???? (just a little ole $10 mill difference)  And it's not just that --he had off field problems all through college ---, he took money under the table in college---paying for his rent and mom's utility bills (against the NCAA rules), he also accepted other benefits he wasn't supposed to accept--he got a 7 game suspension by the NCAA for this. He doesn't seem to like the following the rules, I guess. His step father filed suit over alleged domestic violence and defamation.(sounds like a charming family dynamic)  Even before the bong incident Ravens and Saints passed on him due to these character issues....perhaps he needs to get a handle on decisions and the judgements he makes --- cost himself a fortune...Maybe its "just" a sign of immaturity--and that alone is not a good character trait---coaches expect them to be men, and the NFL is also a business! Time to put on big boy pants...coaches don't want to be babysitters!

@Spurt Yeah, I didn't know about all of that. I agree about the pot smoking too was just thinking maybe it was an immaturity thing. I guess time will tell. Look at Johnny Manzel. That didn't work out too well. The Jags have taken a chance on two that didn't end well either.

There are lots of rumors that the Cowboys are trying to move up to the first pick in the second round. I'm guessing the Browns' phone lines are being kept prety busy. Lots of teams love that first pick each day. Having that pick takes a lot of the stress away. You don't have to hope your guy is there. You know he's there.

Tunsil story:

My sports radio guys are speculating there might be a lawsuit in order.

Apparently Tunsil & his stepdad are not on good terms.

Rumor is the stepdad was holding this video for just the right moment.

Tunsil losing $$$ could have his agent sue the stepdad for defamation of character.

@Reba055

I know these prospects like to "spread their wings" when they get to college, but the smart ones reel it in and keep it under control if they want to get a job in the NFL at a max salary.   I've heard these scouts even talk to their elementary school teachers in some cases....so these kids need to be smart especially when it comes to social media....I liked the WR, Treadwell, that the Vikings picked---when asked what he would do with his first big check---he said PUT IT IN THE BANK---now that's a SMART guy!!!

I really like the Jags pick of FS Jalen Ramsey....The Jags seem to be putting a good team together.  Good Luck this year!

Johnny Manziel is from a town not too far from where I am and it seems he has more problems than just alcohol---what a shame he threw his NFL career away!!.  And my Redskins just cut a player that was going to be suspended for a full year for violating the league's drug policy....

@sidsmom  This is from an article in July 2015---

Tunsil and his stepfather, Lindsey Miller, got into an altercation, which ended up with the Ole Miss offensive lineman getting charged with domestic assault. (these charges were dropped in August). Tunsil allegedly punched his stepfather in the face. Miller is now saying that the fight started when he warned his stepson to stay away from agents. NCAA rules allow college athletes to speak with agents but gifts cannot be accepted. Reportedly, Miller says Tunsil’s contact with agents goes beyond just meeting them and includes improper benefits.

And now his step dad is bringing that suit you talked about---but the step dad doesn't look like too great of a person either....he waited until Tunsil got signed by the NFL and guess wants some of that $$$$....

@gardenman  I wouldn't doubt it and speculation here is they want to grab a QB too...
