I was watching him and his board and really didn't pay attention until he scratched one horse and the explanation I found on the internet was:   But after the son of Curlin was scratched, Kornacki showed off his horse racing knowledge by declaring a Bob Baffert-trained option was the safest second choice.  So he went with the winning trainer IMO.
