Dirk Nowitzki says goodbye to basketball, at least as a player. How will I ever watch a Mav's game again??
Going to miss him soooo much. GOAT!! Such a nice, generous and classy guy.
The kids at Children Hospital call him "Uncle Dirk"
At least he won't be moving away. He's been Texanized and staying put.
Just love this guy!

One of the greats. It is always good to go out with your skills near the top. Didn't he score 30 points the other night? He and Steve Nash were quite the dynamic duo.

Mavs are so lucky to have kept their star until the end of his great career - I'm a Cavs fan and had to endure LeBron leaving twice. I wish Dirk the best - he's a wonderful role model.

I didn’t have a chance to watch his last game last night but
I’m listening to my guys on The Ticket...and I’m bawling my eyes out.
I love Dirk.
Reunion Tower Ball had the German Flag colors.
Water cannon salute at the airport where they landed.
Never will be able to listen to ‘We Are the Champions’ again,
and this is why...(when they won the championship..1:20 mark):

Die hard Pistons fan here, but always admired Dirk. Great player, no dirty plays, gave 110% always. He should stay in the Mav's organization in some position.

Mark Cuban said just that..whatever Dirk wants to do, they will have
a position for him (‘you have my word’).
This is Holger Geechwindner, who is Dirk’s lifelong mentor.
When the Mavs won the NBA Championship, Holger was in the
stands, crying his eyes out. So sweet! Almost like a father figure.

He is really going to be missed. Not many players are with their first team for 21 years anymore.
He is a great man and a great basketball player. I wish him the best.
As a Mavericks fan, it's hard to imagine him not on the court playing.

Another cute Dirk-ism!
It warms my heart he’s loved by all...everywhere.
