Once upon a time there was baseball team named Brooklyn Dodgers. The team moved to the west coast but kept the name Dodger.

Brooklyn Dodger was a name given by the people of Brooklyn to the team because they were dodging trolleys so when the team moved and kept the name Dodger many were offended because it was a name associated with the culture of Brooklyn.

Might be silly to some but a teams name is associated with fans.

DH is a big fan,  he mentioned the name change and the odds of watching another game.  He was not happy.

Heard the MLB trademarked the name Citizens.  Don't know if this means anything, but could we soon be the Cleveland Citizens?

I hadn't heard that but I'm wondering if Citizens is from Citizens Bank
