Yeah, it's a good signing for the Phils. He's among the best shortstops in the league and still young enough to make a long-term deal workable.

Yesterday, my Bleacher Report app dinged me that Judge had signed with Giants-then 5 seconds later it said they "jumped the gun"

Congratulations to the Yankees on signing Aaron Judge - $360 million over 9 years.  I heard the Padres offered Judge more - $400 million over 10 years.  It's nice when money isn't the most important thing.

Hi everyone,

I'm happy about the Judge signing. Not sure I like the 9 year deal, but I don't know the particulars.  He'll be 39 at the end of his contract.  I don't know how this long term contract will color what else they can do.  

Lots of chatter about him being named captain.

Kahnle is back with the Yankees. 

James Taillon is now a Cub. So, they lost a starter and they  have no reliever.

Red Sox let Xander go to the Padres. They just keep on losing their real fan base with the way they are operating that team. They made a mistake with the Chris Sale contract, so we all have to pay the price for that.

Another last place finish next season, I'm done.

It's because the principal owner has too many other sports investments, I truly believe that ownership no longer cares about putting the best team out on the field and it should be sold. They can fill the seats with college students and tourists, so as long as they can do that they're happy with the status quo.

The chief baseball officer makes decisions that are just baffling and bad. The Red Sox should not be run the way Chaim Bloom ran the Rays.

Yankees signed Rondon to a contract. He'll be the #2 starter.   

I'm not sure if I like this move or not. lol  Not that anyone asked me my opinion. lol  I'll have to look him up to get more info.

I hope he thrives with your team! I LOVED him when he was with the Yankees. For whatever reason, it was a disaster.
