@Lori Kaye wrote:@dmod nj I love his policy! Can't stand the look of the beards or long hair.
Hi @Lori Kaye good to see you. Hope you and your family are well. All is fine here in CNY.
I don't mind long hair or short beards, but somehow, in pinstipes, it would look wrong. LOL I am so used to the clean shaven look.

@Greeneyedlady21 wrote:@dmod nj Hi again. Thanks for the kind words, hope you and your family are well. I don't want to get my hopes up at all about baseball in late June or July, but it sure would be nice.
MA is locked down until May 18th, I think it will go longer than that too.
Hi @Greeneyedlady21 so good to see you! All is well with us! I think our lockdown will be longer, as well. I slow opening will be down the road. My area of central NY is doing well, with the numbers going down.
I so miss baseball..........sports in general. I watch all the classic games there are on tv. lol
I miss hockey playoffs.
Continue to be well. I'm so happy to see you. We're here when you want to check back in again.

Thanks. Misery loves company. I'm still a Texas Ranger's fan with the Yankees my second team. I hope they both have great seasons, when they ever play .

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all doing well.
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day, despite the wacky times in which we are living.
Miss hockey and sports! I know you all do, too.
@Bridgegal I hope our boys get back to work soon. I want them safe, but, selfishly, I do miss sports. Good to see you. When baseball begins, don't be a stranger.

Rumor is that players are very unhappy about taking pay cuts to play this proposed shortened season. If true that's an appalling lack of awareness and humility in the middle of such economic hardship. A real turnoff, to say the least.

This is disgusting just reinforces my idea that these guys are spoiled entitled whiners. Almost everyone in the world has had to adjust to our new circumstances, but they should not have to. I have tried to like baseball and my team the Red Sox, but this is it.

If the players have concerns about their health and safety I obviously don't have any problem with that. The rumors are that they don't believe that the owners will be taking a financial hit to the extent that these pay cuts are necessary. I don't know why they don't believe that-half a season, no fans, no sale of anything at parks, less TV and advertising revenue. And the list could go on and on.
Bottom line is that baseball has the strongest and most powerful players union out of all the sports. So odds are that the players will be able to put the kibosh on any season, unless the owners make pay concessions.

Shoppers at a Nashville Kroger got a surprise Wednesday — free groceries courtesy of Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts.
What inspired the kind act by the famous baseball player?
He wanted to spread cheer after the area was hit by the March 3 tornadoes and help out those who may be struggling due to the coronavirus pandemic, a Kroger spokeswoman says.
Betts also treated the Kroger staff to pizza to show his gratitude to frontline workers.
