Re: 2024-2025 NHL season, all are welcome

Good morning,

What's the weather like where you live. I woke up to sunny and -2.   This extreme cold should be out of here today. We'll see..............

So, I don't want to jinx my Blueshirts, but............they have a season high nine game point streak, going 6-0-3. Yep, you read that correctly. lol lol  Their defending is so much more consistent. They've been solid and better.  They beat the Sens, 5-0. Igor Shesterkin has been outstanding, but the play in front of him has gotten much better.  The D is much better.

The Devils are in  a rough patch. They hit the ice tonight against @781Florist  and @JFD12   Bruins.   Shaking hands!  I hope both teams are competitive and may the best team win!

I like McDavid. I don't know Garland.   I'm wondering why Garland wasn't penalized sooner and nothing more would have happened.  I'm tired of watching McDavid get "tied up" with a player and nothing much happening to the other player.    Both actions were wrong.

So, are you happy with your team so far this year?

Great to see the Rangers showing signs of life!  The Bruins with their one step forward two steps back Let's Miss the Playoffs Tango inspire very little confidence for the rest of this season.

The Devils will most likely find a cure for their ills tonight.

That TD Garden sandwich looks pretty tasty, but this season's play by the Bruins and recent hiccups by the Celtics have killed a lot of appetites on Causeway Street.

A check of the standings show the Bruins looking UP(!!!Smiley Mad)  at le Bleu Blanc et Rouge.

HOCKEY DAY IN MINNESOTA.

It's in Shakopee this year at Valleyfair. It's an amusement park that high school teams will play 3 games, both boys and girls and ending with the Wild playing back at Xcel.

Well we won in Colorado, then got Spurgeon and Kirill back and got shut out against Utah. UGH.

Me posting before we play Calgary better not be a omen that we loose. There, I put it out there so now we will win, Woman LOL

@781Florist   do you think the Bruins will add pieces at the trade deadline?

@redhead handbag queen  Hockey Day in MN sounds like fun!    Did you jinx your team? LOL LOL    How has the weather been in your neck of MN?

Rangers seem to be taking steps forward.   I'm cautiously optimistic about their progress.

Devils seem to be moving forward too.  They lost their goalie,  Markham, for weeks.    This could really impact them going forward. We'll see...............

Today, the Rangers host the Avs.  Fingers crossed for a good game!

Is anyone interested in the Four Nations tournament coming up?

Good luck to all our teams playing today!

@dmod nj well last week was minus ten below, AS THE HIGH TEMPERATURE ! I was supposed to have my IV therapy, but my car battery is kinda wonkie right now and Mr Red was in New York, so I rescheduled. Then Mr Red brought home another cold, he's in KC this week, you can guess how that is going, Super Bowl wise. I really don't think they clean LaGuardia because this is the second time this has happened, KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK I don't get it.

Kirill is now out for a month, he came back for a couple games but you could tell he wasn't himself. He is have surgury, not sure what kind though. Brodin is still out and Johansen is still out on concussion protocol after a hit from McDavid that didn't even get called, you could clearly see in the replay that he lifted his elbow, that might be why he got called the next night.

Nick Foligno, had a spectacular call in the last Wild game I kinda makes me wonder, you know how there are some players that you only "like" when they are on your team, I wonder if Marcus Foligno is one of those, because I do not and have never really liked his brother, lol

Ok I am not going to comment on anything have to do with the future, 2 hours after I posted my throat started to feel soar, UGH. It's full blown now and maybe that's I said what I did about Nick Foligno, I don't actually think he is that bad, lol.

We won the game against the Maple Leafs, so YAY.

Wild got the shut out with Fleury in the net in Montreal. Fleury was honored in the third period, it lasted almost 5 minutes. The crowd stayed until the end. He's just so kind. I hope we don't take him for granted him being here in MN.

Mr. Red's bosses, boss's brother lives in Hibbing, (northern MN) he told Mr Red that his nephew plays, so they were talking about that when he was in KC. He said that's it's like religion here, and of course talked about "hockey hair". lol One of his coworkers tried to chime in about the jets, Mr Red shut that down with that the only reason they are into hockey there is because they literally have nothing else to do in Winnepeg, NOW that's my guy, lol

Hi everyone,

Nice to back "home" here. We had company all last week and hockey was NOT on the schedule. I didn't watch more than the lowlights/highlights when I could.  So, I am woefully behind in hockey news.

Saturday, while driving, I listened to part of the Rangers/Bruins game.  The Rangers were a mess and the Bruins won.

Yesterday, I was able to catch a little of Quickie's 400th win. FINALLY, he won this milestone game.  The Rangers beat the Knights.

Up next, Wednesday, the Bruins visit MSG.  Shaking hands with @781Florist @JFD12 I'm never sure what Rangers team will show up.

Rangers did trade Chytl to the Canucks and got JT Miller in return.  Miller never should have been traded in the first place, imo. He's made an impact already.  It's a lot of pressure to put on his shoulders, but I hope he's the spark they've needed.

Devils have been struggling for a while.  Now, with Markie out, and relying on Allen, it's been a roller coaster.

How has your team been doing?

@redhead handbag queen  first, I hope you and Mr Red are feeling better very soon.  You're right, the airports are filthy.

IMHO, both Foligno boys are only LOVED when they play FOR your team, not against. LOL LOL But, they are good guys off the ice. lol

I hope the guys on the IL come back soon. This time of year is tough to lose players.  It's a push towards a playoff spot.

The love for Fleury has been so fun to watch.  The crowd in Montreal was  loving.  Every Canadien shook his hand.  Such respect.

LOL LOL   Mr Red's comment about Winnepeg made me laugh. lol
I'm sure Chiefs mania was out of control in KC.

As a rabid, but VERY disappointed Giants fan, I am rooting for Saquon to win.    A Giants fan can NOT root for the Eagles.   They take away your Giants fan club card if you do. BUT, after how the Giants treated Saquon, imo, I hope he does SO WELL and HE wins the SB.   I guess the rest of the team can win it, too. Smiley Wink LOL LOL

Temps were well below normal here too.   I think this week should be better. *fingers crossed*

Good luck to all our teams playing tonight.

@dmod nj I watched quite a bit of the Saturday game and I was really shocked at the Rangers play (or lack thereof.)

It would not surprise me if we see the complete reverse on Wednesday because the way the Rangers looked on Saturday was very much like the lackluster effort we have seen here in Boston from our guys on many nights.

It is a good thing you weren't watching the game on TV as (especially the whole 2nd period!) the Rangers played like they were still in the dressing room.  The Bruins haven't had that little resistance from a team in ages.

Time is growing short, and I think it is possible --maybe even probable, that both our teams will watch the playoffs on TV.  If they have a subscription.  And the games aren't blacked out.

Re: 2024-2025 NHL season, all are welcome

Hi everyone.

I'm watching the Beanpot tonight.   BU already beat Harvard earlier this evening.

Northeastern is losing to BC at the end of the 2nd, 5-1.

Northeastern has won the last 5 out of 6 Beanpots, and going for a  three peat. I don't think it is going to happen this year. Whomever loses this game will play Harvard in the Consolation game.

The Championship game and Consolation games will be next Monday at the Boston Garden.

BC is ranked 1st in the country.  They are scary good.

Our son graduated Northeastern, and we're rooting for his alma mater.  Neither hubby nor I attended. We  paid the bills, so we have an honorary degree from NU. LOL LOL LOL
