Pekka Rinni.....Gotta love that name.
Congrat to him for winning the award.
Saw the first two periods of last nights game.
I didn't sense that it would be a close game, so
I gave up on it. I may actually watch the entire
game tonight. Hope it's a good one.

Wife out of town Pet Sitting for almost 2 weeks so got behind, so I steer away from this forum. Just now finished Habs/Knights game. Thank you for the links keeping me up with the news of our Rangers.
Jagr sure seems to think a lot of Gallant and how he handles his players. Many do not realize how important that is when it comes to winning, regardless of the level of talent of the players.
I say, the Lightning better wake up and play like they want to win. I have liked Barry Trotts since he first became an NHL Coach, and still glad the Caps were not smart enough to keep him.
Have watched this Capitals team since "O" hit the stage. He ran the team till Trotts showed up. That Cup winning team even had "O" learning he had a "Defensive Zone", along with the other 1-way players.
As has been said as far back as I can remember: "Offensive might win games, but Defense wins Championships". I think the Gretzky Oilers were the only team to win several Cups based on their Offense. Those days are long gone.

My pleasure to keep you up to date on our boys.
I was glad to hear Jagr's take on Gallant dealing with veterans and the kids. Gallant's got a lot of kids to teach and help. If he can do both, be good for the kids and the veterans, that will be huge for our boys.
Like you, I've liked Trotzy for so many years. I'm so very happy for him and his success on Long Island.
I agree, the game has changed since the days of the Oilers won all those championships. I think Chris Drury is looking to add a lot of big, talented D to our line up. That's the talk locally.
Enjoy the games.
My best to your dear wife.

@yellowrose Tonight's game should be AWESOME! Tampa always comes back STRONG after a loss. The Islanders are ready for them. This series is going to be FANTASTIC!
Enjoy the game.

I was so happy to hear the Blueshirts hired Gallant, I almost ran off the road! GREAT player, coach and guy! I think the RangerNation will get a lot of wins and cups from him! Great news!
Also so happy to hear about Pekka, I agree, Donna, I thought of her immediately and maybe my eyes leaked for just a second or so....

That was a scary hit Varlamov took last night.
Point was skating so fast, I was afraid he wouldn't have
time to put on the breaks. But I expected him to swerve.
Looked like he got a little push into goalie tough.
Anyway, was glad to see V come back out the next period.
Too much fighting in this game. I didn't tune in to see boxing.

Hi fans,
@redwingsgal I'm excited for our boys. My fingers are crossed. I hope the players are as excited. lol
@yellowrose ITA about the collusion. Yes, he was pushed from behind. I'm just glad the goalie was okay.
The Bolts came roaring back last night and won. This will be a hard, physical series. The series shifts to Long Island. The Coliseum will be rockin!!
Tonight, the Canadiens will try to tie up the series.

Last nights TB VS NY game - I watched every instant replay of the Bolts
one score, and I could never see how that puck managed to get in the net.
That was one sneaky puck.
And how about that score from Point as we was falling to the ice??
I was impressed.
@dmod nj stop making me hungry.

Where is everyone? Just because your jaw hit the ground doesn't
mean you can't type. Haha
Oh Fleury, I bet he didn't sleep well last night.
That oops of his was not only jaw dropping but costly
I found myself rooting
for VGK just so Fleury wouldn't feel like beating
himself up, especially after a loss that should had
been a win.
They say you need to have a short memory in sports.
Hope everyone is OK and enjoying the games.
Happy Weekend and Happy Fathers Day to
the men in our ives.
