I keep forgetting to post here. Hi everyone! Hope you all are well and enjoying the summer.

Congrats to the Avs! I am still SMH about the former Flyer dropping and denting the Cup. 

Flyers just picked 5th in the draft and selected Cutter Gauthier. Good pick. He is 6'2" and currently a LW and is committed to playing at Boston College next year. When the Flyers bring him on board he will probably play at Center which we desperately need.

Hi everyone, 

I was out all day and just arrived home. I have no idea how the draft went today for many of the teams.   I do know Georgie was traded to the Avs for picks.   

@FlyersGirl    I screamed laughing when the trophy was dented.  Not because of the dent, but because it was the first time it was ever dented ON the ice.  Most of the damage has been off the ice when the guys have the cup for the day. LOL 

Congrats on the pick!! 

@redwingsgal   I couldn't believe it when I read about his death. His son plays on the Panthers. Poor kid.

Fleury signed a 2 yr contract with the Wild. I'm happy, I like him. Not sure how it is going to work out with Talbot though. 

Middleton sighed a 3 yr, he is having a shot gun wedding (his words) in the next couple weeks. So congrats to him and his bride!

I'm curious to see where Kuemper will land.

@redhead handbag queen  thanks for the updates.  I think July 13 is Free Agency Day.   I honestly don't know who is eligible for that day.    I wish Middleton and his bride much good luck!

So the Wild traded Talbot for Filip Gustavsson with the Senators to free up cap space for today. I'm sure he didn't want to share spotlight with Fleury. I'm going to miss him.

DaBeauty League games start today also. Six teams made up of current and former NHL/college players from or have ties to MN play at Braemar Arena in Edina every Wednesday night for a month and the winner gets a keg. Gotta love it!
