sad Gili hobo I saw at a restaurant yesterday.

We went out with some neighbors to a local little Italian restaurant. At the table next to us I noticed a Gili hobo sitting on the floor. The cream color one that looks like ostrich. It was so sad looking. It was dirty and looked like it was 100 year old. When she picked it up to get her wallet out she sat in down on the table and got spaghetti sauce on it and just wiped it off lightly with a napkin. If I paid that much for a handbag I certainly would be taking better care of it. I don't even like these hobos but it made me sad to see one being abused. I often wonder, when people say derogatory reviews about things if they treat their stuff like this woman treats hers - BTW - the owner of the bag was a very attractive , younger woman who was very nicely dressed.

I wonder if she got it as a gift and has no appreciation for what someone spent on her.

GILI items are not high quality, but are priced high quality for marketing purposes.

I've seen women carrying handbags also that were worn and dirty, but the women carrying them were dressed clean and nice.

In other words, I've seen the same thing.

It really surprised me that someone whose appearance otherwise was very nice would carry around this dirty , sad looking purse.

Many people treat their bags like garbage. I don't like worn looking bags at any price range.

I think it is an over priced lower end handbag.... much like most of the GILI products.

So in your opinion, it is then ok to treat it badly???? Because in my opinion - when I pay that much for anything I treat it like gold.

Heck, I was carrying a Travelon and I was more careful with it than she was with her roma tote.

That's not what AnnaBella said at all in her post. She was commenting on the bag itself not the fact on how the woman was treating it.
