I am not sure what posessed meWoman Embarassed----but I bought the plastic birkinstocks that HSN had as a TS last week---and they are pretty darn comfy!! I've had a few pairs of the Arizonas years ago and they felt good too--wore them out---am intending to use them as indoor shoes.  It's taken a few days to get used to them like other birks and they kind of stick to your bare foot being plastic but over all they feel good.  Got the coral and lilac tie dye color----

I bought them as well, and like you I wondered why I was doing it as I doing so. BUT! They really are comfy, I love wearing them in the yard while doing my daily 2 hours of watering. And then I can just spray them off before I go back in the house.

I had them on a tropical vacation a few years back and they did a number on my feet

@wagirl I love mine! I have three pair I bought a few years ago.

They have held up great. I wear them all summer long.

They are the most comfortable, & cute sandals!

Love, love, love!  Got mine in red!

However, they are not the most comfortable for all day walking.  Somehow they don't conform as well.  They do come in wide.

Don't try to wear any Birkies shoe if you have flat feet.  I did that with a pair of the soft soles and after 2 hours of wear in the house, I had a blister the size of a quarter on the bottom of my arch.

End of Birkie experiment.

@wagirl @Still Raining @Dusty1 I also got the purple tie die ones and love them for wearing in the house and when the yard and deck are wet.  It took me a few adjustments and then boom I had wearable Birks!  The material takes a bit of getting "used to" but once you do, they are wonderful.  I can't speak to the older ones since I returned those. I wear Birks at home so these are a great addition to my rotation.  They aren't like crocs so don't expect that cushie feel.  I also have their slides and wear them some to keep my feet used to different shoes.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

@Jk9 ---am  aware of the  breaking in period of all birkies--had a couple of the leather ones years ago and wore them all the time for many years. The EVA material on these ones is a little tougher on the feet--especially across the top straps---for me anyway--but intend to wear them with socks during the colder months inside. --adjustments are the key--I wear them much looser and bare footed now. I have crocs too and yes--they are different.

Plastic Birkies for 14 hour flight to New Zealand..Compression stockings to the knee...Perfect for the trip to the Loo especially after a fella has been in there. High Tide !!  Slip off and wash upon arrival  or rain puddle and you're good to go.
