I was hoping he could meet my lovely, sweet employed daughter! Phooey. Maybe he'll be happy!

I used to love Clarks but anymore.  Read a few years ago Clarks is now made in China.  That's when I noticed that the quality went down and prices went up.  Sad

Exactly! The quality used to be consistently good. Now, I vary in size and can no longer rely on getting a good fit. Years ago an 8 was an 8......today I have to guess whether they will fit me. I now buy Aeresoles which always fit me no matter the style. Another favorite is Cole Haan which are also consistent in size.

Clarks is having a sale on their website. If you type in the word Labor you get 25% off their sale price. I bought Wave Trek Grey Nubuck Shoe for $59.99 plus $2.99 tax =$62.98. Free shipping and handling for item and returns. The shoe was originally priced for $140.00 sale price was $79.99 with a 25% discount. I was looking for a good sneaker to do my walking. I have not had much luck in finding one. I tried Sketchers 2.0 and Ryka, neither of them worked. My feet were sore and hurting when I came back home. I walk 4 miles.

Update: I got these shoes and they are pretty but so uncomfortable. I wore them and their policy is that they can not be returned if they are worn. How are you suppose to test them if you can not wear them. So, I guess I am stuck with a shoe that I can't wear very long.

Update: I called Clarks and they told me I could return them. So, I did take them to the post office. I am so glad.

@elated

I also LOVED Clarks. Their sizing is inconsistent, made of cheapo materials, uncomfortable (like yours). Was a GREAT company which should now go out of business. That's probably why Steve Mahoney (previous rep) doesn't appear on QVC anymore.

I can't wear  them because of the way the toe flips up on so many of them.  I had one pair and my toes hurt so bad I gave the shoes away.
