Will my New and First Dooney soft up?

I was at the outlets the other day and bought my first Dooney. It a black "Large Pocket Sac" bag. I love the style, it stays on my shoulder but it's soooo stiff. I'm used to the butter soft B Makowsky's and this bag is like carrying around a cardboard box on my shoulder. It was a great price but it won't be worth it if it's too uncomfortable to carry. Do Dooney's soft up after some wear?
