Wide shoe/boot sizes search?

I love shoes, but as I got older, while I still love them, my feet changed, and I now need a wide width. Same thing with boot shaft size. Any recommendations for a good brand/website to try. I like reasonably attractive, yet comfortable shoes. Nothing against orthopedic shoes, Velcro closures, etc. as someday I will need those too! Just looking for something a bit more fashionable and work-clothes appropriate while I still am at work every day.

I love Footsmart and Zapppos. Just found 6pm by accident this week when a search engine showed them to have the lowest price for a VB scarf that was basically sold out online.

Auditions is similar to Maryland Square but I think they tend to run more$$$$.

Like Irishrose, I live in easy spirit shoe-clogs. Be careful thought, because some of the printed fabric clogs are very different from the regular "netting" fabric in fit. HTH.

Re: Wide shoe/boot sizes search?

I agree with all the suggestions- I have wide feet with a bunion and have found shoes on all the sites mentioned- Zappos especially. You can tailor your search to the exact size and width you need.I have a pet peeve with the wide width boots that ALL have the wide shaft now also-I only need extra width in the foot portion, it's becoming really hard to find wide width foot, regular width shaft anymore.

I have been a skeptic of the brand lamp for boots...but wow do the fit well for a wide flat foot! I have been won over. Only thing is go up one size, and fits perfect.

Re: Wide shoe/boot sizes search?

I love Munro shoes. They have the best selection of attractive shoes that come in wide widths. I just bought a really pretty new pair (the Aubrey flat) today. They are available from their own website, Nordstrom, and other sites mentioned here, such as Zappos and 6pm.

I also love the Bare Traps Tansy boot, A236250, available in wide on QVC. I own it in three colors -- in fact I'm wearing the black ones now.

Re: Wide shoe/boot sizes search?

I have a slightly wide foot, but have such a hard time with boots. It seems that all wide width boots always have a wide shaft, I have no idea why! That is not what I need so I have to size up, this works fine, BUT I have a large foot so the last thing I want is for my feet to look even larger!

I have such a hard time shoe shopping in general. I have low arches and have had related foot issues. I need good arch support, wide enough width, without looking clunky. UGH!

As someone with wide feet, I also agree about the websites mentioned in the previous posts. I would also like to add cobbhillshoes.com, which offers stylish and comfortable shoes, boots and sandals. I have their Maria sandals and they are divine. Cobb Hill is a division of New Balance as well.

I have the same problem. I'm a in between. Sometimes I can wear medium, sometimes wide. But the wide has to be a C. Not the D that really means wide feet. Very annoying about the boots, because I have slim legs. HSN offered a biker boot earlier this year. Great looking. They two kind of sizes. One for medium regular shaft and wide shaft. But they also offered one for wide foot with regular shaft and wide for wide shaft. I took the wide foot, regular shaft. I couldn't believe my luck. Love those boots. QVC is especially bad about this.
