I wore those sandals in the 70's. Mine were navy blue. I remember them being comfortable back then and you did exercise your feet by grabbing the toe bar with your toes.

 

I'm sure that they would be very painful on my feet now.

I need cushiony comfortable shoes.

 

Next came the "Earth" shoes that were supposed to be good for your feet.

 

We lose some of the cushion on the bottom of our feet as we age. Feet become more sensitive and need to be babied with

comfort shoes
