I love her bags! Haven't seen her on in awhile, and it seems many of her bags are on clearance. Does anyone know if she's parting ways with QVC? Hoping not! Perhaps she'll be bringing some new styles for Fall. Any info is appreciated, thanks!

I've been seeing her bags at several shopping destinations, all on deep discounts. Could be it's a seasonal thing, but I'm not sure she turned out to be the next big thing the Q assumed she would be, though I do like a number of her bags.

Her bags have surged in popularity. She's probably gotten too important to appear on QVC. We never see Sara Blakely anymore either.

I've been wondering - how come AK and BMak bags can be priced so low if they are claimed to be 100% leather body and trim, while DB bags are so expensive.... is this because of different leather quality or the brand name or both?

And yes, she did recently get married and so appearing on QVC probably isn't at the top of her 'to do' list. Perhaps we'll see more of her as they introduce more fall bags. At this point, we're mainly seeing the old stuff...

I'm unconvinced, however, that her nameplate is as coveted as the Q would like to believe... As noted, I've been seeing an awful lot of her bags selling for a lot less than full retail and while I'd guess some of that has to do with seasonal clearance, I don't get the feeling that's the total picture.

TK, I'd posit it's a little of both and a lot to do with the fact that where handbags are concerned the market offers many options. Whether you like them or whether you don't, some brands, like Dooney, Coach, Brahmin, Lauren, and so on have stood the test of time and are established brands known for good quality... BMak came on fast and strong but ultimately was more or less a 'flavor of the month' (albeit, for a couple of years) and has really faded from the scene. Personally, I never felt they were extremely high quality bags, though the leather was nice... I think it remains to be seen whether AK will become an established brand or whether the 'hot new kid on the block' status will fade away over the course of a few years. If I had to bet, I'd probably guess that a few years from now this brand will not be a major player, but, as always, I might very well be proven to be wrong.
