What makes the difference in price...

...between an all leather Tignanello handbag for $100 (just using this as an example) and an all leather Dooney for $400?

And for fun, let's say each brand has a similar bag - similar in size, features, trim, etc.

What makes one so much more $$$ than the other? Is just the brand name/reputation?
