Re: What do you think of Vionics?

I bought a pair of sneakers, worst shoes ever.  My legs hurt so bad I tossed them.  I love Spenco.

Re: What do you think of Vionics?

Most of them work well for me but not all.  I just ordered A593302 sandals and love how they look!

The footbed is very comfortable and I like the bit of a platform but the criss cross strap over the toes is not adjustable and they are so loose!  Since I like them a lot I'm trying to go down half a size to see if that works.

Re: What do you think of Vionics?

@Mindy D I like the footbed, but it is hard.  What I like about it is that the high arch takes pressure off the toe joints, and to me they feel like a massage on my arch.  Very comfortable for walking.  Flat shoes make my arches hurt, because they have no support, and my toe joints hurt because I am putting pressure on them as I walk.

I have problems with the fit of Vionic shoes.  When they were first offered, the fit was good.  But then the toe boxes became narrow, even though I always ordered wide.  The heels were wide.  Usually sandals are good for me because the toes are unencumbered, and I don't have to worry about the heel.  But even with the sandals sometimes I have had problems.  I once bought a sandal that had a very wide footbed, but the adjustable velcro leather strap only reached the other side when it was not on my foot.  So I used to buy the brand a lot, but not so much anymore.  I wait for reviews.

I did take a chance recently, and bought the pretty sandal below that fits me perfectly even though only the second strap is adjustable.  They are overpriced, but everything is.

Re: What do you think of Vionics?

I've tried different Vionic slippers and sandals over the years. I like the hard footbed and support but the medium fit was off. I had to return them as the toe, midsole, and heel were all too wide; I wear a medium shoe. My feet rolled all over the place.

Also, I dont like velcro straps on footwear. Ugh!

I do use their footbeds which I pop into sneakers. I bought them many years ago when they came in a 3-pack for like $39. Love those!

I read an article that said the Vionics sold on QVC is of lesser quality than those sold in their brick and mortar stores.

Is the Vionic alignment thing uncomfortable for anyone?

Love them. I've had one style that I had to size up a half size for the proper arch placement but other then that they are very true to size and super comfortable. I own a dozen different styles and got another today.

Re: What do you think of Vionics?

I have one pair that I bought last summer.  They look like the TSV, but mine are in Rose Gold.  Anyway, I LOVE them and I wore them all summer long.  I was under the impression that there would be an "adjustment period" to wearing an orthotic shoe, but there wasn't for me.  They were so comfortable that I felt like I was wearing sneakers.  I have a high arch, so maybe that's why I didn't encounter the discomfort that others have.

The only complaint I had was that the footbed gets so dirty and it's hard to clean.  It would get those toe marks on them just by walking outside and doing every day things.  I only ever put them on after a shower, so I know the bottom of my feet were clean.  That was the one negative.

I thought about ordering the Macaroon, but my size is sold out.  They ARE expensive, but they are also very nice!

I agree with those who said they feel like you have a hard ball under your foot.  I bought a pair of sneakers and a pair of sandals at Marshall's a few years ago and never wear them.  Luckily I didn't pay much for them. Reminds me I should donate them.

I have several pairs of Vionic sandals (not flip flops) that I like very much.  I once bought a pair of sneakers and they did not hold up well at all.

I got those too!  Smiley Happy  I got black and tan.  The tan ones arrived with bluish marks on the straps so I returned those and bought a light blue pair from Dillard's.  They haven't arrived yet but I did the same as you and sized down 1/2 size to see if they fit better.
