Probably another gimmick, I too have put sketchers and other name brands in the wash, no problems ever

I love the washable Skechers & even wore them to the beach.

I think that it's neat because when you wash your own shoes they come out weird. I just have my price on shoes that I go by. Come on sketchers we need more at those discount stores.

My Skechers all wash beautifully. Line dry.
