Vionic sizing compare to Birkenstocks

I would like to try a pair of Vionics. Can someone familiar with both advise me on how they compare to Birkenstock sizes? Do you wear the same size in both or are they different? Thanks!

Re: Vionic sizing compare to Birkenstocks

I personaly like Birkenstocks better. I feel they are better quality. I bought some black sandals and got rid of them because the dye kept coming off. I also purchashed some Vionic balet flats and the insoles wore down fast. I think there are better quality for the money. Birkenstocks last.

Please don't waste your money on Vionic!  Very overpriced pieces of plastic.  Stick with a real shoe with real support in the Birkenstocks.  Trust me I bought a pair of the vionic, wore them an hour and by then my back was shot and my feet were killing me.  They are a joke.

I'm the opposite.  I love Vionics and have them in a couple of styles.  They've all held up very well.  I have one pair of Birkenstocks that I rarely wear.  Just not nearly as comfortable to me as my Vionics are.

Re: Vionic sizing compare to Birkenstocks

Everyone's feet are different. I love my many pairs of Vionics, but absolutely can't walk in Birkenstocks- they aren't shaped like my foot. I discovered Vionics when I had plantar fasciitis and felt instant comfort when I wore my first pair of Vionics (then called  Orthaheel).  My arches are high, and that footbed just fits into my arch and supports it. If your arches are kind of low, the Vionic arch might not be so comfortable. Today is a good time to give them a try, with the 3 EZ pays, because you're only venturing 1/3 of the price to give them a try.  As far as sizing, I'm a 7 1/2 and wear the size 7 Vionic with some room to spare.  Oh, and for what it's worth, I still have all of my original pairs, which are about 4 years old now. So they have held up just fine.

My back feels better when I wear my Vionics. Birkies were great for me for awhile until I discovered Vionics for myself.

Re: Vionic sizing compare to Birkenstocks

I hope this helps re sizing advice:  usually take a 6 or 6.5 in shoes, 7 in winter boots.

I have the Tide - got them when they first came out and love them.  Had to return the 6 and get a 5 in that style.  Also, in Birkies, take a 36.

Good luck and enjoy!
