Re: Vionic arches the same or different with each shoe?

@CAcableGirl2, same here! I developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot in 2012. So very painful! Podiatrist wrote me a prescription for orthotics. At the same time, I bought my first pair of Tide IIs. The Vionic sandals in warm weather, orthotics in my walking shoes for work. The sandals were comfortable from the first wearing. I do have a high arch, which I think makes a difference.

Walking seemed to help, warming up the fascia, so I embarked on a walking schedule on weekdays at lunch or after work. I was also icing my foot after walking in the evening. And I was doing stretching exercises - while reading up on plantar fasciitis to educate myself. I didn’t see how I could ever recover. But I discovered a topical cream and decided to give it a try. Within a week or two, my fasciitis was GONE. And it has never come back. It did try to start up in my other foot a few months later. I used the cream and immediately squelched it. I still wear my sandals almost every day. I can’t wear them to work, but I believe in keeping the foot/ankle supported at all times around the house.

I just noticed my Tide wardrobe is getting kind of old and raggedy (!), so I just ordered 2 pairs of the TSV. I do have other Vionic styles - loafers and slip-ons - which also fit my feet well. Can’t say enough good things about Vionic!

And I like Liam’s new look! Sometimes guys just have to let the thinning hair go. Stacy Ann has done wonders with the man, which I have mentioned here before.

Re: Vionic arches the same or different with each shoe?

@CAcableGirl2, just out of curiosity to see if my question could be answered about the weight of the Tide Sport vs Tide ll.. so I called the number you gave me-  Had to laugh, the woman was rude  first of all, and she told me there was no one there  that could give  the wts I was asking about. WHAT!! Made me laugh- so I  did a chat with QVC CS and asked if they had  any info. She gave me the wt. of the shoe which was written on the box of each.  Now, I can't be sure if that includes the box itself or not, but the Tide Sport is heavier by I think 6 ounces ( total) - which kind of surprised me. Like I said- I have no idea  what the exact weight of  shoes are.. I did order the Sport and I have a pr. of the Tide ll so I'll have to see for myself.  Recently I have been buying OOFOS and they are so light weight.. the Tide seems heavy in comparison.. Truth- I like both brands.

@violet runner

I ordered the TSV and it actually arrived today.  The size will affect the weight, but my size 9 pair weighs 14.9 oz without the box.

Re: Vionic arches the same or different with each shoe?

@CAcableGirl2 - thanks for the info.. I wear a size 9 too. Funny, my sandals just shipped. I don't think the wt diffference ( if any) is really significant if the fit is there. Should be similar to the Tide ll. Enjoy your purchase.

Re: Vionic arches the same or different with each shoe?

@Kachina624 I really liked vionic when they first came to QVC but your point about the shoe quality have deteriorated a great deal is my experience as well.

I liked the old footbed. the new one that is more plastic-y is terrible IMO.
