Vionic Size Inconsistency

[ Edited ]

Today my Vionic Patent Leather Thong Sandals arrived and boy am I disappointed.  I ordered my normal Tide size 8.  While these fit in length, the width is really big and the sole is slick.

This is the second pair I've ordered that the fit has been way off.  These were on sale, but are eligible for return.  Since they were on sale though, I was charged a shipping fee...which aggravated me to begin with.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Vionics fitting weird lately?

Re: Vionic Size Inconsistency

@cheriere.  I don't buy them anymore but when I did, I was certain this company farmed their work out to different manufacturers.

The sizing and quality varied from style to style and even the height of the arch varied from shoe to shoe.   I got one pair where it was so prominent, it was painful.

There seems to be no quality control.

@Kachina624   I really hate to hear they're using multiple manufacturers.  That the problem!  I love their shoes...when they fit right.  I've had 4-5 pair I've owned a few years that I'm so used to wearing, I can't hardly stand the way others feel.  But these are getting too old and worn.  I never dreamed they'd allow the quality to suffer so, especially since their prices have gone up so much!

It bothers me to pay shipping both ways.  But I can't wear them.  😟

@cheriere.  Check the reviews.  If there are other complaints, you can claim they're defective and cite the reviews as evidence.  THen ask them to waive return shipping.

@Kachina624    @jackthebear

Thank you both.😊💕. I hadn't thought about asking them for return shipping.  The reviews aren't good.  Sure wish I'd have read before ordering.  I just didn't think they could mess up a flip flop lol

@cheriere   Yes, I have had problems the last 2 or 3 years. They were quite painful. I am done trying...

Best to get them at DSW or Famous Footwear where trying on & returning is simple.

Re: Vionic Size Inconsistency

I bought the leather thongs a few years ago from here and sent them back because they were to wide...I recently went to DSW shoe store to look for white leather sneakers and found Vionic Winny...The first pair i tried on hurt the back of my heel...I tried another pair and they fit perfect in size 8...Really like this sneaker so just bought the black Winny on amazon and that fit great to.I am done buying shoes from QVC..Will only buy from DSW and amazon from now on because returns are free and easy.Just to many problems finding something that fits right and is comfortable.

Re: Vionic Size Inconsistency

@cheriere yes I have had issues with this brand for a while now. I stopped buying them because of it. I'm not sure what they have changed but like you the sizes are way too wide for me AND the slick sole and sometimes the footbed feels slippery to me too has put me off.

I think @Kachina624 is correct and it is something with their manufacturing.  Whatever it is, they have lost me as a customer.  The last pair of slippers I returned with the comment that I was afraid I would slip & fall with them. QVC reached out to me and asked me if I was OK!  That was a real surprise. I told the person yes I was OK.
