Vionic Mona Clearance sandals

I bought a pair of Mona sandals about two years ago. I have worn them frequently, and they fit in my true size 8, sizing down from an 8 1/2. I quickly snapped up two pairs when I saw the $40 price. I know I paid $60 for the original pair.

Much to my dismay, they felt tight in the toe, which was a strange place for a sandal to feel tight.

I read some of the reviews, and some other reviewers also posted that the toe post area was snug.

I actually got out a sewing tape measure and measured it, and it is between 1/8 inch and 1/16 inch shorter on the two clearance pairs than my original pair of Mona sandals. I’m wearing them around the house to see if they will ‘give’. My original ones are worn, but not worn out, so I don’t believe wearing them for a while will alleviate the issue. I have about 10 pairs of vionic flip-flops, mostly with the rest style bottom, and I’ve never had this issue before.

It will be frustrating, because I got the sandals at such a great price, but will end up paying return shipping, plus reimbursing them for their free shipping on each of the shoes.

Has anyone else experienced this? I would’ve posted a review, but I was not permitted to since my original review for the first pair of Mona’s was still online.

Re: Vionic Mona Clearance sandals

@ocookie   I bought a pair at Dillards and returned them due to the same issue.   I had never worn them before, so I had nothing to compare to and just bought the same size I normally get in other Vionic sandels, without trying them on in store.  All of the multiple pairs of Tide sandals that I have were comfortable right out of the box and the same size as I purchased.

I would call customer service, because if the previous ones fit when new, and these are tight when new, they are defective.

If they have changed the sizing, but calling them the same "mona" design, they should explain that on the presentation or in the description.

Re: Vionic Mona Clearance sandals

sorry but the Vionics I've bought lately are not the same as in 2-3 years ago!!!

I go to Dillards or a store in my area to try on & same issues.

Now they are "mass" produced and just like clothing sizes are never correct ....another item "hit or miss".

I've given up buying shoes & clothing from Q or any retailer I need to pay shipping...and recently, bought a pair of Sketchers sneakers same exact model and size -- they were tight in toebox.  I returned to Kohl's -- my closet is full of non or ill fitting shoes☹️the donate box is ready for drop off!
