love my vionics.....shoes, sandals, slippers.....

i wear an 8 and always take an 8. have never had any problem with sizing.

they are the first thing i put on when i walk through the door. i used to love walking around in socks or barefoot, but now i purchase only the vionic brand of slippers for in the house.

These are my first Vionic's in Brinley style. It was the TSV & all day they showed them on models wearing them without socks. They were half inch too big in heel & I normally wear walking shoes with tennis socks & I plan on doing that with these. Will they appear dorky with socks? I've been wearing a Birkenstock orthotic for at least 10 yr so the Vionic arch isn't a huge difference in the feel of the shoe. Insole feels hard to me so I'll be wearing them inside before I decide to keep them.

I have many pair of all styles of Vionics. I have learned over time that I wear a different size in each of three styles. In shoes that are not Vionics I generally wear a 9M. In Vionic sneakers I wear a 9M, perfect fit for me. In their more flexible slip-on shoes I wear an 8.5M. In their open-backed shoes (any sandal footbed, with or without a back strap) I wear an 8M - down a whole size from my normal.

It might be worth it to you to play around with sizes, though I understand the not wanting potential back-and-forth shipping hassle.

I have the same issues with sizing. 7 in flip flop sandals.

7.5 in the sandal wedges is preferred.

8 in some tennis shoe.

8.5 in narrow toes and closed in heeled shoes.

I had to send back the brinley.. Cute shoes but not enough support for me and too expensive to keep and have to put a different insert in there.

I found similar shoes by guess and MKors at TJM. Has a good fairly flat cushion. Sized up and put my insert in on top of it.. Perfect. Gives me more cushion, support and pretty much the same casual style.

I'm glad for those who don't need the stronger support though and the brinley worked out. enjoy!

Slightly off topic... I usually size up in Skechers as well and use the inserts from the vionic hiking tennis shoe in them.. Those have a stronger insert.

Gives me the support I need with the cushion I want in the go walks

One thing I've noticed with some vionic.. If you get two pair and one, the arch isn't hitting just right.. Check the size printed on the bottom of the insert.

I had ordered two pair of the hikers.. One fit great in size 8.

The other, the arch was "off ".

Sure enough, the insert was for a smaller wide size. Not the same size/regular that was in the other 8 regular shoe that fit. The difference was noticeable to me.
