Interesting. I guess there's a market for vintage shoes as well as clothes. Lots of choices out there.

My grandmother wore a shoe similar to this one...

But she didn't have an ankle tattoo.😉

I wouldn't wear any of the vintage shoes pictured. They're not my style, and they look a bit uncomfortable to me.

These definitely remind me of my grandma. I'm not a fan. I do have my Frye boots from 1975. That's vintage to me.

@mare54   oh how cool. I got a pair of Frye's for college that year.  My Mom actually talked me into them...

My 4th grade teacher wore those black 1940s shoes -  in 1967.

My great-grandmothers wore shoes like that. I have a pair of Rockports that look just like this. I think they were in style about 10-12 years ago? They're actually super-comfortable. Although I don't know if great-grandma's were.

I've seen the American Duchess web site. Some of the shoes really are just like the ones grandma wore. I love vintage and I've been tempted. But they're SO expensive! Especially since they're not all leather.

@cindyNC

I'd studied the history of costume many years ago, so this website was a real treat.

Apparently my tastes align with the Edwardian era and the 20s.

What a fun site.  I encourage others to take a gander.  Some really beautiful shoes. Heart
