I have a similar shoe by VC and they are comfortable, really all the VC shoes I have are. I see a sock issue with this TSV.  It'll be real hard to find a sock that won't show.  And I could not go sockless in a shoe like that.  The one I have isn't even as low cut as this one and it was hard to find a no show sock with go with it.

I'm a big fan of booties.  But - I'm really fussy about the style.   I buy mainly Arizona brand ... good fit for me and comfortable to wear.

Don't like this one at all.  Those open ankles are just unattractive.  I want to be covered all the way up to the ankle.

I would think that the open sides would be an issue for anyone who uses inserts in their shoes.

I wear this style boot from fall through spring, and I love these.  I bought the black and the green.  I already have a couple of pairs of suede black booties, but today's shoe has a black heel whereas the ones I have do not.  I also have a pair of green suede booties, but I just loved the look of the TSV so much I ordered them anyway.

I have one other pair of VC boots and they are comfortable.  Hopefully these will be too.

I bought the TSV Vince Camuto boots last year, which were low cut like this; very similar. Anyway, they hit right on my toe nail when I walked and my entire big toe nail split in half! For 6 months I had to have acrylic put on my toe nail to keep it from coming off. I will never wear this brand again.

I think when you look at them closely, they look kind of cheap, not at all like the $142. boot that they're supposed to be.  They have virtually no support.

Not meant to insult anyone that likes these shoes.  I just do not see anything nice about this shoe, does not look attractive to me.  And frankly, when they show the models I think it looks awful.

I posted that I like them, but let me say, I wear this kind of shoe with pants.  I do not wear them in all the goofy ways they have them styled on the models.  I wouldn't wear them with shorts, or a flouncy dress, or capris, or any of the other silly things I have seen today.  Most of the time I wear either a skinny jean or a boyfriend jean, and these will work well for me.

However, everyone likes different things, so not everyone is going to like this TSV.

I totally agree, with all due respect I think they are ugly. They look like they are trying to be a cowboy boot and when they do a close up on the models feet, they look as if they are actually to big for their feet ! The foot comes up out of the boot when they lift the heel off the floor. They show to much ankle, just not my style of shoe so I will pass but for those who love them, enjoy.

@faeriemoonI agree with you about not wearing them they way they have the models wearing them. I do like these boots and would wear them with skinny or boyfriend jeans.

@Imaoldhippie

I’ve tried on a lot of VC shoes over the years and not one felt comfortable enough to purchase. I’d love for them to fit me well and feel comfortable but none I’ve tried have.

With my high arch, I probably would not be able to get these on. But I really don’t think I like the cut out by the ankle anyway.
