I have contacted the seller and they are willling to take it back. There is no problem with that. Yes the bag has defect but I dont think the seller was aware of it or sold it knowingly.

I purchase with stock pictures if the seller is seasoned Vera high volume seller for items I do not mind pattern placement or the price is good which justifies pattern placement gamble.

I frequently purchase Vera from chinese ebay sellers which are high-volume sellers with stock pictures who sell at 1/2 or 1/3 of retail including new patterns. So far I had only great experience. The items I did not liked for whatever reason I sold and it is no problems to do if you buy so low. You have exact same gamble when ordering from VB.com, yes you can return it but you pay more than twice for that priviledge.

Zahrah, I was empathizing with your situation and offering what I thought to be helpful advice...I understand your buying from high volume sellers with stock pics...as you explained it would be impossible to get an actual pic of the item...what I was referring to are small volume sellers. Personally, I rarely am bothered by pattern placement on my VBs...it's really a nonissue for me but I can understand where it would be important to a consumer.

Hi Zahrah...I have also bought quite a few VB from Chinese sellers and have always been completely happy. I was interested in a Mandy in Canterberry Magenta and loved the placement pattern in the picture shown. It was perfect! Perfect circles, and everything lined up. I emailed the seller to ask her if she had that exact bag. She said yes and I bought it immediately. I haven't seen one so nice in any store. I'm glad you got your issue resolved!
And that was with the chinese seller? Congrats on your Mandy. I have just ordered Turnlock sarchel in cant magenta from them.

There's an ironic thing with Chinese sellers. I have relatives in Hong Kong and they knew nothing of Vera Bradley!! When they visited I showed them the few things I have- and I sent them gifts since then. But initially they were like 'Vera who?' !!!

OMG! {#emotions_dlg.crying} it's very premature to leave negative feedback for the seller!

Is this what ebay has become since sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers? A buyer isn't happy for whatever reason and you don't even give a seller a chance to make it right before leaving negative feedback? Yes- I had an issue recently with a buyer. Even though my auctions states 'no returns' I accepted her return, made it right ASAP - and she STILL left negative feedback. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown} Give the seller a chance please!

agree, seller is entirely in buyer's power on ebay, so not fair!!!

and some buyers, you just can not please them! it is easier to block them than to transact with them.

I just had someone last week doing bidding war on my item, placing 40 bids!! bidding it up sky high. Then they paid. then 2 hrs later they messaged they do not want the item and they want their money back on their credit card right away and hassled me for days after where their money are eventough I had refunded their paypal payment same day. And you can not even give them negative. Just wonder how many times they had to confrim they actually wanted to purchase my item while they placed 40 bids.

I recently sold a guitar on ebay- the buyer emailed me the next day stating he wanted to 'cancel the offer'. Offer?? A bid is a contract! After attempting a 2nd chance offer I contacted ebay. They told me the buyer has a history of doing this and not to allow it. I was apprehensive going through with the sale- the buyer had emailed me his intention on returning the guitar! I took tons of pictures while packing it up- just in case he smashed it and claimed I sent a broken piece. Ebay must have gotten in touch with him because the transaction went smoothly from that point on. And yes, he is blocked.

I look at every buyers 100% feedback with a grain of salt- and read the comments fully and completely.

Let me be very clear on this...I apologize if my advice was misunderstood...I AM ALSO AN EBAY SELLER AS WELL AS A BUYER...there is a protocol on Ebay as most are aware 1) try to communicate with seller 2) if this does not work, file a complaint 3) leave negative or neutral feedback if appropriate. I hope this clarifies my previous post!!! I have 100% feedback as a seller and buyer largely due to my communication skills..sorry to all I offended, this was not my intention..with that being said, I unfortunately have been burnt by both both buyers and sellers and since have learned how to navigate Ebay more carefully in both roles...it hasn't happened often, but it does happen. Hope this clears things up! Smiley Happy)))

Whew!! Thank you for clarifying!!!!

Thank you.

Pattern placement is important on some items, especially smaller ones.

Hmmmm, you handled it good.

I should have done the same.

Of course buyer will have 100% feedback as that is the only feedback which can be left for a buyer- POSITIVE.

Yeah, I dont think they even sell them over there.

I think these sellers get from from some factory where Vera makes them. If you notice they only sell certain styles so I am assuming that those styles are made in that factory.

I am so curious, I would love to know where these items come from and in such quantities and even new patterns. And I have never found anything wrong with them, it is not like they are seconds.

My Japanese friends carry some VB, I think they might sell and know VB in Japan.
