I hate tying sneakers, they always come undone.  I bpuy  slip on sneakers.  On sandals or dress shoes I HATE the buckles, when you get a certain age or you are heavier it is hard to buckle them.  No more buckles for me!

Absolutely hate Velcro. Even expensive high end brands are now using "vegan" (plastic) and Velcro (cheap lack of proper hardware). They are still trying to market these horrible products at the same high prices as the former quality of 5 years ago. Velcro is cheap looking, wears out, everything sticks to it. It's a substitute for quality closures. Hosts market these cheap versions as "adjustable" and no buckles or laces to "bother with" Instead just put a fake snap or buckle over the Velcro. Ditto for "open front cardigans". So cheap to manufacture a garment without buttons and button holes. But useless to keep you warm.

Not a fan.  However, they do have their place and I know some people really like and/or need them.    I hope to stave off the need for them as long as I can.

I don’t like the look if they Velcro strap is over the foot, but I recently bought a pair of cute Vionic sandals that have a VERY secure Velcro strap around the ankle, but yet the look is sleek.
