It had to be somebody from outside, not an existing host.

Anxious to hear any new information any of you harvest about Jill. Hopefully, she does, in fact, carry and love G.I.L.I. bags.

I will be watching! Thanks for the heads up, Hi Cindy!

In other words, she's the new 'vendor rep' for GILI... and more than likely the same design team that's been doing the line will continue to do it with some input from her... Clearly, she already had a role at QVC, so it isn't as though this was a huge stretch. Interesting, but this move doesn't make me any more inclined at all to pursue an interest in this line of goods. I get it that there wasn't another host with the visibility to front this line, but this woman is hardly a well known commodity among Q viewers so I don't see her being the new 'face of GILI' as being any big advantage to moving the goods.

I guess tptb realized that none of the current hosts were able to sell the products as a ""luxury"" brand.....

Nothing ever remains the same, however, QVC is putting their eggs in Jill's basket. It will take a little getting use to by Lisa fans, but I do think this line will take off. They will need to upgrade the quality on several itms in the product line though.

It's not even a matter of whether or not it will be the same... it clearly won't be the same. This just strikes me as a matter of convenience (she was already there)... and of a business decision to combine two lines into one with an existing vendor, whether the two lines were a close 'fit' or not... Honestly, I don't care what QVC does and I haven't really for some time. They've pretty much burned their bridges with me, as far as me being a 'fan'. I'll shop here when it suits me, but it sure isn't suiting me like it used to. As for watching, that's pretty much a thing of the past, and I essentially wrote GILI off when Lisa left, so I'm not terribly concerned with the future of the brand... All that said, this just strikes me as sort of silly. They might as well just have had Kate or one of the other models take it over...
