I just acquired a new pair of Helens in the Blue Star leather to replace a pair of navy nubuck ones that somehow got gas or some other type of solvent splashed onto the cork part on the side of one of the soles & started to crumble & flatten as I walked. I'd had them for several years, so they didn't really owe me anything anymore. I had tried sealing the cork with some sealant for Birkenstocks, but the sole kept getting squished flatter & flatter, & I wanted another blue pair, so the navy nubuck ones are now retired.
