Would any of you ladies be able to describe the taupe color croco to me?

My siblings and I buy a group holiday gift for mom and think this would be one one she would like.

Also do you think cognac would go with both black and brown?

She has enough black bags so we want her to have something different. I really like the red but not sure she would step out of the box that much.
