While watching a talkshow on television, Hoda Kotb mentioned putting a maxipad in each shoe for "pillows" on your feet!  I'm going to try it!Smiley Happy

Oh my gosh!  Just don't be caught in a situation where you have to take your shoes off in public!

The maxipad would take up so much room, I don't know how you'd get your foot into the shoe.

OK, this totally took me back to c. 1973.  My friend across the street stepped on a nail.  As her foot was sore for many days, her mother put a maxi pad in her sneaker to help with padding.  (Yes, her foot eventually healed.)

I don't know if they still make those throw pillow pads any more.  Aren't they usually slim now?

I think she was talking about the thin ones that have the one sticky side. She said they work perfectly.
