I came here specifically to talk about Tignanello bags. I realize there is another discussion regarding these bags falling apart. I came to talk about this brand mixing materials.
I have always thought Tignanello was a great handbag. Bought my first in 1995, all gorgeous soft leather, lasted forever. Then I bought one as a TSV and thought the trim "looked funny" quite a few years ago. The trim eventually shredded. It turns out it wasn't leather, but a combo of leather and PVC trim. I was totally unaware of this even though I watched the TSV several times that day.
Today I was interested in the Tig show they had this morning and every single Tig they showed was a combination of leather and "man-made materials". I looked up every single one. Even their really popular large bag that was around $160 had "man-made" trim inside the bag. I'm assuming the handles are leather, but again, mixing materials on a nearly $200 bag!!! This really annoys me because man made materials just do not last, do not look quite the same and are the first parts of the handbag that deteriorates!
This morning there was an adorable bag that had "Vachetta" trim. However, it was NOT Vachetta Leather. It was a man made material to look like Vachetta Leather. I do not believe that the Q is disclosing this fact on air, or going over it very slightly because many people think as I did that the entire bag was leather as it used to be....
I'm so disappointed in the Q AND in Tignanello over this.....
