The embossing is very pretty.

I agree. I really like this bag in peacock but not buying due to man-made trim. Not worth it for the price ....in my opinion, anyway. I'd pay $50 for it.

And it used to be that you could easily find it elsewhere for about that... Tig seems now to be carried at so few locations that anyone wanting a bag might well be in the position of having to pay the Q's ridiculous full retail price and shipping for a bag that a few years back could've been had for about half what they're asking... I like it in peacock and emerald and got it a while back on sale elsewhere in the whiskey (don't know what they call it, but that's the color) just because I like the embossing... The bag is pretty enough in person but not worth the asking price at all. Personally, I'd go on over to SHQ and look at Madi Claire for nice looking mixed media bags in similar colors and styles for lower prices, consistent EP and usually less costly shipping.

I agree that the QVC price is too high. I actually purchased mine on Amazon for around $70. However, if there is a particular color you want, you might not be able to find it anywhere but the Q. Macy's often has Tig bags at good prices.

Thanks for your replies! I will check out what the trim is made of.

I don't have this particular bag, but I do have their glazed leather cargo in Emerald Green. I love it and am not at all bothered by the man-made trim.

I love that style of bag. I also love Emerald Green.....I gotta have outside pockets!

It seems to me the company that bought the BMak/KVZ/Tig lines is trying to salvage one of the three but are unfortunately trying to position it at a price point that the bags simply don't warrant... Looking on-line just to see what could be had at what prices, so many of the Tigs seemed to be priced too expensively for bags with man-made component. Again, I don't mind some man made bags or certain bags with man made components, the issue becomes whether or not they will wear well and there have been a number of people on these boards suggesting that they don't. Given that, while as TK said, I might spend quite a bit less for it, I'm surely not spending what they're asking... The satchel is priced even higher and at some sites they're actually trying to pull in almost two hundred bills for that bag... There's just no way... not with so many other options.

Actually, I'm rethinking my earlier post about those embossed Tig bags. I just took mine out to look at it again, as I've not used it yet, and with absolutely no offense intended toward anyone who has and likes the bag, I have to say that it more or less screams "chintzy"... It's pretty, don't get me wrong, but this is not, to me anyway, a 'nicer' leather bag and bears absolutely no resemblance to the Tig of old... The leather is thin and the 'man-made' straps are thin, meager and don't even really look like leather as much as they look like some kind of pressed cardboard colored to look like leather... In one of the pretty colors, it's an all right 'fashion' bag, but not one I'd assess as being in for the long haul nor would it appear to be useful for someone like me, who doesn't 'baby' bags, as an everyday bag. That said, I just ordered my first Madi Claire bag and so when I suggested them as an alternative, it was based on price, styles, colors and mixed media fabrications. Once it arrives, I'll weigh in on seeming quality.

It's sold out in all colors but black. However, you can get it "As Is" in the emerald green for a better price -- A265159. I really love this bag because it has all the features that I like:
