I don't mind that print in the leather, but the handbag isn't my style.... too large and the hardware is heavy.

I don't own any Dooney and Bourke bags and when I saw the zebra bag, my first thought was dang that is one open pit of a bag. I must say, the Bordeaux grew on me, probably because the pattern wasn't so 'in my face'.

I actually loved the bag especially the black/gold and the Bordeaux/gold combos. I would rather see the bag before I made the decision to sink $428 into it though.

This is the one I have. Except mine has a dark brown strap instead of the tan. I still like it, even though it's a little bit like carrying a piece of luggage..... It was one of those things I just had to have!

I've received mine today and I LOVE it. I got it in bordeaux, it is much darker than on a show, which I prefer. Flashy? Not at all. The bag is very simple actually, even the patern is very "quiet" (its very tonal). But the leather is out of this world! Light in weight, textured and the colors are to die for. It is a very modern bag, for a modern girl. It is very large, so if you're a tall girl or just simply love big bags, you'll love the size. The strap is pretty thick and comfy. The only complaint: the feet? Really? But I will tell you this: love it too much, to return because of the feet And I knew it before I ordered, so... It's not your typical Dooney for sure, but is so luxurious. Classy but so original. There is a nice review on youtube of this bag, which I found very helpful before purchasing mine. Just type Dooney Zebra sac and you should see 2 videos from the same user. The first one is opening of the box, and the second users follow up. Give it a chance! I'm curious about other colors, even red, how they look in person. Anybody?

A co-worker bought a D&B in the giraffe print waaaay back when. I see D&B animal bags & immediately think, "2006".
