I was just thinking that Lisa is having to do all the presenting..new rep does not have much to add. I am sure she will learn, but it is a bit painful to watch.

Well, just a minute ago, Ashlee just started presenting the inside of the samba crossbody and Lisa had to slip her hands in there, close the zipper pocket and show the rest....she does it again with the hobo!!! Now that's unprofessional! She should let Ashlee do it!! Now I actually feel bad for the girl.

Yes, it's like Lisa was on a mission for this show. I felt her saying "let me show you how it's done cupcake"....Just my sense of the non verbal communication. {#emotions_dlg.mellow}

Well, using your vernacular, "cupcake" apparently couldn't figure out the lighting and camera position to show the inside of the bag effectively. Lisa moved the bag and explained she was moving it so the light shown in and the camera view was right. Funny thing, many LR detractors claim she is looking at herself in the monitor, but reality that the new rep needs to learn is that you watch the monitor to ensure you are holding the merchandise in the best position for the lights and camera.

Re: Tense Dooney presentation

I must have been watching a different presentation because I thought Lisa and Ashley worked well together. I think Lisa's mission was to do some damage control regarding the Samba satchel as many people on this forum said that they did not like the lock (myself included) and thought that the hardware was silvertone. I am sure that Lisa was directed to clarify those issues. Who knows? Peter Dooney himself may have read the forum and wanted the presentation that probably was not originally going to air tonight as witnessed by the lack of a photo of the Samba satchel on the "previously aired items." Ashley did a great job, in my opinion, but you can see that she is not an aggressive salesperson, which is fine with me because aggressive does not win me over. Lisa uses a more psychological approach to selling via her vocabulary such as "monied", Madison Avenue, toney, etc. And Lisa is a very bright woman. I love her historical commentaries - she obviously loves history, and is very quick in her retorts, and very, very funny, again in my opinion. I love Sue Clifton, and Ashley Bellman, and believe they are perfect representatives for the Dooney brand. They both exude elegance and refinement as does Lisa. I always look forward to the Dooney presentations!

The girl is new, she's learning a new job. I thought she performed well and she was fortunate to be with Lisa because no one is better at selling than Lisa. I'm sure she learned a lot today.

Re: Tense Dooney presentation

The last time these two presented together it was horrible. Lisa is rude to her. She is a novice at this and should be taught, not rolled over. I have seen Ashley work with Mary Beth and she was very knowledgeable. Ashley is a young rep. I wish they would pair her with someone who would work with her.

Totally agree with Chrystaltree, the new rep. has to learn her job and Lisa knows hers and she is just trying to show her the right path to be on.

Sue can't be on tv every time they have the DB show, so they brought in another rep.

Exactly. It may not be "rocket science," but all jobs have to be learned. Part of that is learning to get along with different personalities. Give her time. She's young and needs to learn her rhythm.

People are so quick to criticize. It took Sue a long time to get as good as she is.

Different perspectives... I guess, but as noted, the vast majority of the time, a vendor rep. seems pretty unnecessary. More times than not the hosts know at least as much (if not more) about the products being sold.

I'd also note when being asked to give us a tour that showing the inside organizational pockets shouldn't need to be learned... This rep. has now been doing this for months, both with and without Sue and with a number of QVC hosts. She isn't precisely 'new' anymore...
