Switching from Clarks to EARTH

For a few years now every pair of Clarks I purchased had a fit problem.  I decided to send an email to Clarks but they said the fit problem did not exist.  Thus, I am looking at Earth now.  I have tried on some of their shoes and they were extremely comfortable and no problem with the fit.  I wear a wide and it's basically a tad wider than the medium but Clarks wide was like a small medium width.  I am looking forward to having a good relationship with Earth shoes.  Any one else jumping ship?

@Katcat1 , yep. I buy Earth brand now. No more Clark’s for me.

Yes, I agree ... Clark’s is NOT what it use to be ... I really don’t have any luck with the brand anymore.... so sad😭

@January121  All my shoes were Clarks but when they started the fit problems about 3 years ago, I got tired of sending shoes back.  I can understand one pair but when it is every pair you purchase, I will give Earth a chance.

@Katcat1  .... That’s what was happening with me ... I was returning every Clark’s shoe that I ordered so I finally gave up .... one thing that I especially don’t like is the arch thing that they put in the shoe ... when I put on a shoe that has the arch thing  I feel like I am completely off balance but if I buy a cheap slipper from say a Dr Leonard’s cataloge without the arch thing I have no problem  whatsoever.... I’ll check out the Earth shoes & see how they fit. Thanks 🥰

Re: Switching from Clarks to EARTH

i haven't had any problems with clark's and fit!  maybe i am just lucky, or maybe it's the style?  all my clark's  are either Lexi or Ashland and they all fit perfect.  fortunately, i now have enough shoes to last me the rest of my life, so i don't have to order any more ... but i will say that i recently ordered a pair of earth sandals and they are a dream.

Re: Switching from Clarks to EARTH

I went to a Clark's Outlet yesterday and did find some inconsistencies in fit when I tried on several pairs of shoes.

The Arla Primrose was tight on my left foot.  I have other pairs of Clark's in that size.  There is a knot design on top that may have been the issue.

The Arla Shaylie was super comfy in red, but the black and blue were like totally different shoes in terms of fit and comfort even though they were same model and size.

I tried on other Cloudsteppers but none were as comfy as that red Arla Shaylie.  It seemed like the cushion effect differed by the color of the sole--the white being more comfortable than the grey or black.

I'm not sure about Earth shoes brand.  I may give them a try if I see them at the store but not interested in buying online unless there are free returns.

I gave up on Clarks several months ago. Been ordering Earth sandals since then and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Re: Switching from Clarks to EARTH

@Katcat1

Several months ago, I also emailed Clarks about the size inconsistenty, quality declining.

I had shoes in one size that fit perfectly. Not sure, but I think they were manufactured in Brazil.

Same size, same style too little in a new shoe. A different country manufactured them.

Clarks told me here was no size difference and quality was same as always!  Now if I want a pair of Clarks I have to go up 1/2 size.

My old Clarks in the 1/2 size smaller still fit !  It is not my feet !

I'm pretty much through with Clarks. I do like Earth brand.
