What about water shoes they wear swimming and in the ocean?  There are some they call "shower shoes" to wear in public showers.

Yes, exactly...shower shoes but what brand? That's what I'm asking here.

If I could afford it I would get fat pad injections. Insurance doesn't cover it and it's expensive.

Check the list on HuffPost dot com “shower shoes.” They mention several brands that offer thick cushioned soles.

Re: Standing in the tub to take a shower....

@SilleeMee I cannot stand flat-footed. I use a pair of thong flip flops that have a higher heel. (The flat ones do not work for me.) These are meant to get wet and made out of some type of rubbery material with a fabric toe piece. I wear them in the shower, step out wearing them, and set them aside to dry.

Yes, they do, but I was just looking for something that will really protect your soles and also be safe so that you won't fall.

They wear these in the ocean and I guess elsewhere for swimming too.

There are a lot of shower slides, but I think they are too dangerous.  Too easy to slip out of.

I don't have any other recommendations besides the bathmat and water shoes.

I do have one more.  Have you tried Scrubzz sold by QVC.  Look them up.  I'd rather get into the bathtub or shower, but if your feet hurt that much....

Re: Standing in the tub to take a shower....

@SilleeMee   I have several pairs of swim shoes from Amazon. Very comfortable and they won't slip easily. Quick drying, too.
