I have purchased many that are more perfect than some sold as new. I think it must have been a corporate decision to sell returns as new. hey, I could, live win it if they repackaged the items so,they are like a new item. It is the carelessness f packing that most seem to be complaining about.

Yes, of course items should all be carefully packed. And QVC is pretty notorious for not doing that. A company with a 30-day return policy should be much more diligent about looking things over before they're sent out. It's beyond careless and sloppy to send out bags with dirty tissues or someone's used lipstick inside. But I've read about that kind of thing happening here far too often.

I think most retailers sell returns as new. But they're better at looking for damage and "prettying things up". In many cases, I'm sure we've all bought items that looked new but in fact had been returned, and we never knew the difference. If something is not damaged and appears new, I don't have a problem with it at all. Being wrapped or not wrapped is not a huge issue to me - They're wrapping and rewrapping all the time, and a wrapped bag can be used too. The bottom line for me is the product itself, and if - after looking it over - I decide if I want to keep it or not.

Return the bag because you are not happy that it was another person's return.

To give an update to this very important and dramatic saga, I sent it back. After closer inspection I was convinced that it had indeed been used. The base of the bag didn't hang right and appeared to have been stretched out. So. It's gone. And I'm glad!! Ha. I did include a note that a USED handbag should not be sold for full price. Not that I really think the person unpacking it will care but it made me feel better.

I don't think it's any different than buying something at a store, taking it back and then someone else buys it....if you like it, keep it.
