I have a very comfortable pair of heels that have a slippery sole. They are so comfortable right out of the box so I do not want to get rid of them. However, when I walk on carpeted areas they are slippery and I'm fearful that I could fall!
They are poured plastic (Bella Vita is the brand).
Any suggestions to make these soles less slippery? Rubber cement perhaps (but would be a temporary fix)

Could u call or email the company - or the store or on-line site u purchased the shoes from? Clarks - also, is using plastic in their soles instead of rubber.

If I have slippery soles scuff them up on asphalt but these are leather soles not plastic.

I don'y know if your shoes are see through plastic and this wouldn't work but I buy a 'Gripper Shoe Sole Pad' and it solves the problem. I get it at any drug store.

Try scuffing the sole with coarse sandpaper.

@Mrsq2022 I know you love them, but I would probably return them anyway. I don't know how you could scuff up plastic enough to make them not slippery. That's what I always do to leather but can't see it working for plastic. Any tape that you put on the bottom of your shoes would be seen when you sat down and crossed your legs. My sister pointed out a label that I hadn't taken off the bottom of my shoes the other day.

Now that I think about it, go to the hardware store and ask about the non-slip traction tape made for stairs. (Painted wood steps can be incredibly slippery.) You should be able to cut pieces to fit the soles of your shoes.
I did this once and it will help. Only problem is it made the shoe feel funny when I walked. With each step I could feel the uneven texture caused by spacing the strips on the bottom of my shoe, and I just couldn't get used to it. Maybe there is a thinner version now?
