Msshopper - Thanks for bringing this subject up.
It snowed yesterday. Last night I was going out to shovel. And found a pair of Nike boots in the closet. Never wore them and decided tonight I will. Put them on, went to walk out and I could not believe how slippery they were - in the house!
I was not about to wear them out in the snow and ice. Ended up shoveling in a pair of old sneakers.
Now I know why I never wore them.

Check at your local shoe repair. You can buy these rubber stick on non-skid sole things. They just stick on. They only cost a couple of dollars.
