I don'y know if your shoes are see through plastic and this wouldn't work but I buy a 'Gripper Shoe Sole Pad' and it solves the problem. I get it at any drug store.

Those non-skid stick on decals for the bottom of bath tubs also work.

Re: Slippery sole - suggestions?

Msshopper - Thanks for bringing this subject up.

It snowed yesterday. Last night I was going out to shovel. And found a pair of Nike boots in the closet. Never wore them and decided tonight I will. Put them on, went to walk out and I could not believe how slippery they were - in the house!

I was not about to wear them out in the snow and ice.  Ended up shoveling in a pair of old sneakers.

Now I know why I never wore them.

Check at your local shoe repair.  You can buy these rubber stick on non-skid sole things.  They just stick on.  They only cost a couple of dollars.
