I have looked at quite a few pairs of bungee style sneakers, including Skechers, and decided that they are not for me.  I figured that they would not be that comfortable as you cannot adjust the bungee the way you can laces.  I think it is nice that with the bungee you don't have to deal with them coming untied.  But if you have issues with your feet and ankles and have to adjust your lacings several times during the time to loosen like I do, bungee is not workable.

Yes, they're tight for me, too. SO I stuck jars in each shoe. Just big enough to give them a slight stretch. Can't remember what I used.  Left them in 2 days. PERFECT! I've been wearing them for 8 months, and they're still PERFECT!

 

P.S. Not all of my experiments end so well.

Bungee cord sneakers can be uncomfortable if the cords aren't adjustable. I've cut the cords out of some Champion sneaker mules just because they are uncomfortable.
