These boots are water-repellent but has does the sweater-weather collar factor in?  I would imagine that is not water-repellent.  Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a water repellent boot?  I've been looking for something for my daughter.  I know she'd like the style but just wondering is this particular boot is really good for when it rains.

I love Skechers, but there is a difference between city/inside boots and country/outside boots.

No way would I consider those boots "waterproof." I do not wear suede in rain or snow.

I went to a Skechers store near me to look at waterproof boots, and they are around $75.00 or so--NO suede.

Macy's is having a great Black Friday sale--I just bought  JBU boots there for only $19.99--they are water resistant, not 100% waterproof, but much better than cloth!

I always have to be careful with the terminology.  Water repellent vs water PROOF.

@FancyPhillyshopper  I have been wearing Blondo boots for many years. I have worn them in snow and rain. They are waterproof and suede.

Those Skechers ankle boots are not leather so that makes them water repellent. Uppers are made of man-made material, probably some kind of plastic.

I wouldn't expect these to be water PROOF.    

While these might be okay to wear on a day when it had rained and the streets were still wet, I'd never wear them if I was going out in a rainstorm.  They just aren't made for that.

The rep said the boots are Scotchguarded and are water repellent. That includes the sweater top.

That means you can wear them in wet weather and your feet will stay dry.

They are not made to wade in a deep puddle. You would need a rubber or other waterproof material in a boot to do that.

They should be sufficient to wear in the snow or out while going to and from in the rain.

They are cute boots.  I wouldn't be upset if Santa brought me a pair.

I have a pair of water resistant booties made with this faux suede material and I wear them in wet weather with no issues.
