I bought Vionic shoes and a pair of slippers. I have very flat feet and I definitely have over pronation. Just like Liam describes. I was so hoping they would help me, but they did not. My knees still hurt, probably age and heredity, sometimes they make me feel like I am losing my balance and they hurt my feet more than regular shoes. I don't think they have enough cushion in them to help with the process. I don't want to bash, but I wanted to give you my honest opinion. My niece bought a pair of slippers and ended up getting rid of them. She said they threw her off and hurt her feet. I hope you find something that really helps. I was hoping these would be my holy grail answer, but it was not. Good Luck

New Balance athletic shoes in certain styles and fitted to the correct shoe size SEEM to be the closest I’ve encountered to a universally recommended shoe, but fact is, EVERY FOOT, ANKLE, KNEE, HIP, and SPINE is made up of unique patterns in unique combinations.
There are some Vionic styles that I love and can wear comfortably, and other just do not work at all. Fitting a shoe is very much a trial and error process.
The opinions of other wearers are not really terribly helpful.

Vionics did not work for me, but my teacher daughter has flat feet and they work well for her.
After having both knees replaced, an athletic shoe is what feels the best on my feet. I just received a new pair of Skechers, have worn them in the house for 2 days, and think they are going to work okay for me. My feet have changed since my surgeries, and it is hard for me to find shoes that are comfortable.

I have a bad knee. (had a stem cell injection this AM) I've tried Vionic 2 or 3 times without any luck.
I took a chance and pre-ordered the TSV sandal. I am a 6.5 or 7 but it said to size down so I went with the 6. It fit but as someone else said, the arch feels like a golf ball. Also, they stunk! The only think leather about this sandal is the strap. I did like the rose gold color.

I Bought Vionic sandals once, and they made my bad knees feel worse. I could not wear them.

Alegria. I have 3 pairs and when I was experiencing seriously bad knee pain to the point where I had to use a walker, the only sandals I wore were Alegria. They are supportive and easy to walk in, at the same time I thought they were cute. My knee issues stem from damage caused by RA. Thankfully I'm doing much better due to getting some expensive shots in them (Synvisc).
