Hi, @ECBG !  Cute boots!  I love Bella Vita shoes.  Only brand I find I need to size down half a size, or use to at least.  They often offer wides, which I generally buy (bunions).  I also limit my heel size to a net 2.5 inches, net of heel and platform.

I have a bunion also.  According to "Types Of Feet Shapes", I have the Roman shape which is prone to bunion.  Goodie!

Should have also mentioned the platform can't be high enough that a broken ankle is in my future.  LOL

@ECBG , I inherited my bunions from my paternal grandmother.  She easily had an E width footh.  Fortunately I seem to have stopped at D.

Actually, you inherited the foot width and foot shape.  Many shoes that hold on by applying pressure to stay on put pressure on that  area of your foot.

I had loafers in school for years. (I remember discomfort and redness as a teacher, then in church) in the bunion area with high heels, and ballet type shoes.  Dansco leather is very rigid, and caused me a lot of trouble.

I kept on and walked myself into a bunion.

Anytime you take off a shoe and you're "red" there, the bunion "won".
