@ALRATIBA   I have always lived in the same

"neighborhood"  since I was born.

I can walk to the childhood house I grew up in as can my husband.

I sold a five bedroom home for a smaller one that we built.  My house isn't big by any means, but my closet in my bedroom is.

I had California Closets design it for me more than 20 years ago.  It was expensive and my husband threw a fit.

Today, I am happy.  No way could I feel comfortable getting a closet like that in todays market. It was a good decision at the time.

I am a small town girl.  I really love NYC, but couldn't and wouldn't live there. It's too fast paced for me.

My husband and I have been all over the world, but we and I sure you as well, feel there is no place like home...big or small.

I live in PA.  Last week (in the 90's,) I saw a lady with high suede boots.  What?  So I guess I don't care when I have my sandals on still Oct 1.  I go by the weather, not by the date.

I don't really change out the closets but more rotate things around some. I have everything pretty organized.

I'm still wearing sandals and clogs.  Once it starts staying colder I will wear socks and shoes and boots.

I don't need to do that. I wear sandals or tennis shoes in the summer & tennis shoes in the winter. I need support. I can't go barefoot anymore. That would be nice.

Re: Seasonal Shoe Switch

[ Edited ]

I rotated my shoes the other day. I moved my warm westher shoes to the back right hand side of my closet, and brought the cold weather shoes forward. I stack my shoes in their original boxes on my closet floor.

I live in NYC and won't walk around on (dirty) city sidewalks with open toe shoes.

Always closed shoes .... and I always wear some sort of socks.  I think bare feet in shoes is "icky."

Depending on shoes - socks, knee high hose, pantyhose, compression socks ... always something between foot and shoe.

Jane tries on every kind of shoes they offer every week (or more). She never has on socks........what happens to all the shoes she tries on ? Remember when we went into a store and had to have peds or something on our feet

I wear sandals all summer long except for a rare time when sneakers might be needed.  I live in the Northeast and so I try to keep the sandals going through October if the weather permits.  I am so much more comfortable in sandals...

@Mom2Dogs  -  I don't either. I'm not crazy about shoes either. Before we moved north I wore heels to work, and changed into Birkenstocks the minute I got home!  Smiley Wink
