Hello Everyone,

I was a huge Kathy Van Zeeland handbag fan when her bags were made well. I really enjoyed all the decorative embellishments on the outside of the bags. I also appreciated the fancy colorful linings inside the bags. It just added something fun to the bags. But now she has sold out her company and the bags are horrible. KVZ bags are now being sold at Wal-Mart so you can just imagine the quality. I'm looking for a replacement brand that is fun & decorative inside & out like KVZ bags use to be. I don't want to spend over $100.00 on a handbag. That's just not my personality. So if any of you can recommend a new brand for me I would be forever grateful. I am not a big shopper & have no idea what else it out there that isn't a huge name brand with a huge price tag. Thank you

I am not a handbag person, but here is a sampling of bags $100 or less at 6pm.com. I searched only leather bags and I picked ones that were most like KVZ, but I don't know if these are the style always from these vendors.

Gosh, what a wonderful selection! Thanks for the pics, lolakimono, and for the thread, OP. I don't know too many of the brands you've included here (I tend to find one brand and stick to it forever, and hate experimenting with bags), but love the pink and the purple bags (because of the style and not just the color).

I do know that the Kooba brand usually costs much, much more. And the quality is way beyond KVZ. I just checked out the entire collection of Kooba at 6 pm, and it is glorious-- although even on discount, most of the Kooba bags there are above $100. Fantastic discounts compared to the originals though.

6 pm's Gabriella Rocha selection includes some great looking bags, all under $100. The Sak always has fun and affordable things. I think QVC carried The Sak at one point. And some other shopping channel carried Elliot Luca. But these prices are better. I don't know these brands too well but have seen them around.

Love 6pm. I usually go there for shoes. I must start looking for bags there! They do sell out quickly in my experience.

Shophq is doing a sale on their Labrado leather with some items around $100. They also carry Anuschka and had some great sales there recently, with very nice bags within the price range. Both are highly decorative brands (tooled and painted leathers).

I liked and owned a number of KVZ bags. Take a look on HSN.com at the bags by Sharif. Lots of clearance, easy pays, easy returns, and sometimes free shipping. Plus a product video.

You could try Tignello or Sharif/Carlos Falchi which are sold on HSN.

I would hit Marshall's or TJ Maxx, they may have great quality bags for under $100, especially this time of year. Even Macy's may have some great bags.

I just purchased a Dooney and Bourke leather handbag at ilovedooney.com for $99 with free shipping. Love D&B. I also have some Tignanello and Nino Bossi bags that I got from Amazon and ebags at good prices. As someone else stated, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and even Ross have good prices on handbags.

You might check JC Penney's for the "Relic" brand. I have found some fun patterns and love my zip-around wallet. I even had a cashier (a man) say he liked my wallet. Go Figure

I also, have several "Fossil" handbags that are so cute. I have bought them on sale at Macy's for a good price.

I have a couple of "Chi's" handbags that were on sale and nice styles and colors. I had bought an ink color wallet and found a handbag that matched that color. It was on sale.

I bought the neatest "SAK" handbag at Dillard's in October that was on sale. It was under $100.00 and it was leather.

I have seen several good brands at thrift stores.
